Abundant wildlife above and below the waves draws eco-tourists to Ecuador's Galapagos. Get up close on a stroll or in a Zodiac boat. Snorkel and dive with denizens of the deep, from sea lions to sea turtles at Santiago's Cousin's Rock. Hike by finches, flamingos and iguanas along the Darwin Trail. Admire Sierra Negra Volcano on Isabela. As visitor numbers are limited within the islands' National Park, book your boat tour through a tour operator. Visit January through April for the best snorkeling.

Neat placement of the statue. The stone pathways that traverse this corner of the island are astonishing. They must have been some hard work to lay down. Lovely View

Great tortoise statue! Celebrate it while toasting beers from the nearby brewpub and bars. Definitely a keeper. Do seek him out while wandering the waterfront.

There are Darwin Statues all over. This one is on the way to the Interpretive Cenre on Charles Darwin Calle. It has a pretty arch behind it.

This is right next to the water. It's a great place to watch the pelicans and sea lions. Plus crabs and marine iguanas.
