I have stayed here for two nights with my partner. You get exactly what you book. The pictures meet reality. Nothing too special or too modern but very clean and capable staff. One of the staff speaks very good English for Vietnamese standards. The rest of the staff are happy to help you while talking through Google translator. These conversations are slower but you'll get there. It's very central and the room we stayed in was very quiet, too. As usual you can rent out scooter's or book tours. If you're happy driving a scooter I would recommend you to book a private scooter tour through the countryside to the Tra Su Forest and back for $35 AUD.

Hoang Duc hotel is conveniently located near the heart of Chau Doc city. It is one of finest three -star hotel in Chau Doc, full epuipped with elevator, windows, balcony,.... You can see the whole Chau Doc city or Sam mountain from the high floors. It takes about 5 munites to Chau Doc market or Sam mountain tourist area. Staying at Hoang Duc hotel is conveniently to visit Chua Xu Lady temple...
This family run hotel is just a short taxi ride from the dock. The rooms were a great size, bathrooms are great and breakfast was included. James the owner was a wealth of information helping us with restaurant recommendations and helping us with ferry ⛴ transportation to Cambodia. In a town that has limited English James was amazing. Thank you ?

We booked this relatively inexpensive clean and modern hotel for family travelling with us. It is about 3 years old. There is a courtyard area at the front with steps up to reception area. The bedrooms are upstairs via lift or stairs being nicely furnished with wooden beds and ensuite bathrooms. It is family run and friendly - the elder son speaks some English. No breakfast provided but pho can be bought outside. It is a good location for temples (200 metres) and local shops for drinks and fruit. For a stopover fine.
