Laissez les bons temps rouler! In New Orleans the good times are perpetually rolling down Bourbon Street, which, thanks to the city’s annual Mardi Gras celebration, has quite a party animal reputation. Once you’ve soaked up the scenery of the historic French Quarter, tour the elegant Garden District and meet the colorful characters of Frenchmen Street. Experience the city's supernatural vibe at the Voodoo Museum or by taking a guided ghost or vampire tour through taverns, alleyways, and cemeteries.

This was recommended by a friend of a friend and it lived up to the review. Definitely one of the better spots on Bourbon street ( which I didn’t like half as much as I expected).. great music, fun atmosphere, good service. I would highly recommend.

Maison Bourbon is preserving REAL jazz every night with great bands. Real trumpets, saxes, clarinets, upright bass, real piano. Louis Armstrong would be proud! They have great prices on drinks and food, and no cover charge. You can't beat this place, especially if you compare it to the place around the corner with "preservation" in its name. Keep up the good work entertaining the people, Maison Bourbon! I'll be visiting every time I vist NOLA.

Stumbled across this venue while walking through the French Market area. It is a virtual "hole in the wall" and not well publicized in NOLA tourist information brochures. They offer FREE concerts and lectures. I advise checking on line for scheduled events. Excellent historical photo displays and a nice small gift shop. A good way to experience New Orleans jazz without being in a bar.

It's Playtime. Royal Sonesta New Orleans proudly presents The Jazz Playhouse. The best jazz club in New Orleans showcases the city's greatest Jazz talent and serves your favorite cocktails and appetizers in a luxurious venue on the lobby level of the hotel. Shows begin at 8 p.m. Admission to The Jazz Playhouse is offered to walk-in's on a first-come, first-serve basis. The Jazz playhouse does require a one drink minimum, per person per set for all shows. Guests must be at least 21 years old to enjoy the show.
The Jazz Playhouse was everything I expected for a New Orleans Jazz club. The venue was inside the Royal Sonesta hotel on Bourbon Street and had the classy vibe I was seeking with the swinging music I love! No cover, just the cost of a drink, and prices were reasonable. The night we attended the James Rivers Movement was performing and their eclectic knowledge of jazz standards and beyond made for a highly entertaining set. I highly recommend this venue if seeking some jazz in the French Quarter.

A stylish jazz spot in the French Quarter, which serves Cajun and Creole dishes.
We thoroughly enjoyed a great dinner, drinks and especially the Kevin Louis Jazz Band. The restaurant is located in the French Quarter on amain road. The band was lively, people danced and everyone was having a good time.
This club offers drinks, Creole food and quality piano performances in an intimate environment.
