Excellent value for money!
Reviewed By Beuls56On approaching the lodge, we were a bit suspicious, because of the look of the building on the outside and there’s no reception and main entrance, but there was no need to be, because we were met by the very friendly manageress, after a phone call, in the parking area and then shown to our accommodation, which wasn’t just a room, but a well furnished one bedroom apartment, with a kingsized bed having a really good quality mattress and linen! It’s central in Vredenburg and close to two good coffee shops and Pick n Pay!

Very Pleasant Surprise
Reviewed By davidjnealeI arrived at my booked Guest House to be told by the owner my reservation had been cancelled. Having travelled half way around the world I was somewhat put out, to say the least. But I then happened upon Scorpio Guest House... What a lovely surprise and I literally fell into clover. The rooms are excellent. The cleanliness is beyond reproach. The hosts are so welcoming and friendly. The place was wonderful and the best value for money possible. I would recommend this establishment any day. the only reason I have not given the place 5 stars is the internet was down but this was not due to any fault of the owners.

DECIDED TO TAKE FAMILY MEMBERS FOR A BIRTHDAY LUNCH
Reviewed By BrendaWilliams_12My brother, his wife and a cousin all celebrated their 73rd birthday and I decided to take them for lunch. I first took them for a drive to Saldanha and St Helen, thinking they would be hungry enough to appreciate the generous portions. We arrived well after lunch time and it was quiet being a Thursday. I wanted the ribs which I sampled the last time I was there and my brother and cousin said they would have the same. The brother who would normally be the driver said I wonder if I should have a beer. I remarked you are not driving so order the biggest drink you want (usually the wife would curb him). The wife said she wasn't hungry but ordered the Eisbein which of course went home in a doggie bag - even home to Cape Town on the Friday. My cousin and I could not finish our ribs but we enjoyed the vegetables and I of course must keep place for dessert. I had my ribs for breakfast the next morning. Even then it was still tender and off the bone My brother said I am enjoying this and quietly finished his ribs, actually all the food on his plate and the draught.

Excellent Hosts, Quiet Stay
Reviewed By sunnypdxI stayed here only one night in January of 2017 because I waited too long to book in Paternoster. It was a nice alternative to spend a day on the coast. The hosts were very nice and helpful on recommendations for dining in Paternoster. The room was very clean, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The room I stayed in did not have a separate door to the bathroom, but since I was staying solo this was not a problem. The breakfast in the morning was fantastic with a large variety of options and was quite filling. It was worth the stay alone.

Lovely Cottage
Reviewed By Lisa0904What started with just a nights sleep ended up in staying 2,5 days. The cottage is nicely decorated, the kitchen is beautiful and the bed incredibly comfortable. There is no staff on the premise at night but they don't mind coming out if needed (takes about 4 minutes). The property is clean, the sheets are crisp and the shower was hot. They have several cats running around but they'll leave you alone if you don't want their attentionn. Hopefully we'll be able to stay again another time! Note: You won't find the actual property in Google Maps so you'll have to use the address provided.

Reviewed By Bev176A very nice place. Our room was very comfortable. There is a lounge to sit and watch TV. Tea/coffee available. Secure parking. We had a cooked breakfast and was very good. The owner was very friendly too. There is a pool available too.
