Zero customer service, slow hot water, difficult to connect internet, unmade room, cold food, poor maintenance

Reviewed By golferron54

Not recommended. This hotel has substantially gone downhill since my last pre-Covid (multiple) visits. Hot water is very, very slow to come. Room was NOT cleaned and made up one day. Dry rot on the balcony rail. Laptop internet very difficult to access (You need to call tech support). Cold breakfast food that was supposed to be hot. Cracks in the bathroom tile. As of 1/10 - they will service the room only on your third day, due to covid. Worst of all, an indifferent and nonresponsive manager who didn't even have the courtesy to reply to an email, and the cavalier attitude of the front desk clerk at check out (I have names but will not post publicly). Spend your hard earned dollars at a hotel that actually appreciates and wants to earn your business. The only one that seemed to care was Julio at check-in, who had stellar customer service. Details ... I spent four days (1/7 - 1/10), room 207, at the Baymont by Wyndem, Monterey Park. I used to stay at this hotel two times a year, for multiple days pre-covid, so I have multiple benchmarks to provide against my most recent stay. Not only did I document all my issues in an email, offer to meet with the manager at specific times and dates at breakfast, AND voiced my concerns upon checkout, and received an indifferent or nonresponse. That is what bothers me the most. Go elsewhere to a hotel that provides the service and room you expect. I did not even get a receipt for my stay. When I said I will post my review, the front desk clerk was indifferent at best Every third day room cleaning. The day I checked out (1/10), there was a sign on the elevator that said, "Due to Covid rooms will be serviced on the third day of your stay with us. If you want your room serviced more often - Please inform the front desk". So if you don't want dirty towels and unmade / clean sheets after paying for a serviced room, you have to ask. I have pictures of both the sign and rotted wood balcony. I am going back to LA in June, but for the first time in years of constant patronage to the Baymont Wyndem, Monterey Park, never again. I hope you fare better.

Great hotel with very nice suites

Reviewed By Xoxoval_95

Great hotel location was nice, check in was fast no issues. Booked the 1 bedroom suite and it was very nice super spacious and most importantly VERY clean. Parking was 12$ under ground felt safe parking my car had no issues & yes they have charging stations for cars. Deposit fee was $50 if paying with debit. I did request the highest floor & everything I requested was met the suites are HUGE I got room 206 floor 6 & it was a cornered room with a nice view huge bathroom and the toilet had its own door so that was a plus, the only thing we didn’t have was a microwave we didn’t request or ask for one but that’s about it other then that it’s a very nice hotel I recommend checking it out if you are in the area or traveling!

4 Night Stay At Lincoln Hotel, Monterey Park, CA

Reviewed By E5822ZAnormand

I stayed at the Lincoln Hotel in Monterey Park, CA from 5/24/2022 thru 5/27/2022. This hotel needs a serious remodeling. Bathroom sinks have old & badly scratched faucet, worn & faded formica, elevators are dirty w worn carpets and chipped paneling. Lincoln Hotel used to have a restaurant, bar and ballroom but all are closed and papered over--its best days are in the past. This gives guests a depressing experience. If you travel on a budget, the rate might be attractive. If you don't want to feel you are staying in a hotel that is on serious decline, would suggest a newer hotel in San Gabriel area. The Lincoln Hotel needs a serious remodel and infusion of capital. The newer places in Monterey Park are more attractive and much cleaner to visit. It does offer a breakfast & decent coffee, but think one can get that in newer hotels too.

Musky and damp

Small room. Everything felt very wet, likely due to weather. Left there feeling extremely grossed out. There's breakfast in the morning--cereal, apples, some pastries in plastic wrap, and other microwaveable items.

Great customer service

Stayed with my family over Thanksgiving Holiday and we appreciate the clean rooms and good customer service we received by everyone. The hotel is close to many shops and Asian restaurants that we decided to try the one across the street as per suggested by the receptionist. Thank you, we will most definitely be back!
