Great hotel
Reviewed By NemoTravelerWe stayed two nights on a road trip to Germany. The hotel is located near the Castle Gardens in the town of Merseburg. The Castle Gardens are close to the River Saale and the centre of the old town with the cathedral is within walking distance. Covid 19 regulations were handled very well and as you would expect from a Radisson Hotel. Our room was a spacious Business Class Room on the top floor with a number of nice facilities, such as a safe, coffee and tea facilities, and A/C. We even had a private roof terrace with a nice view of the town, and Leipzig and Halle in the horizon. Everything was very clean and in perfect order. Breakfast in the Restaurant Belle Epoque was included in our rate and was very nice with several choices of both hot and cold items of high quality. The hotel is connected to a private (paid) parking lot with direct access to the hotel. Excellent service throughout the entire facility, and we would definitely recommend this hotel.

Reviewed By RhineRollmy disabled room #112 was facing the railway line. It was too hot in there, and opening the windows only resulted in noise from bypassing freight trains. A fan was provided, but it did little to help the situation.

Reviewed By Caroline MWe stayed here for just one night. Very friendly and helpfull staff. The breakfast was very good for the price we payed. If I have to give a suggestion, It would be bettere put aircondition and change pillows, because they were too thin and uncomfortable. But despite this, I would recommend it!

Worst hotel I've been to in a long time

The hotel was totally unstaffed when we arrived - though it was well within the opening hours, such that the waiter from the restaurant next door had to let us in, process our booking, and find us a room key. This also meant we were unable to pay by card, as he didn't have access to their card readers, forcing us to use the last of our cash. Indeed, when he phoned the person who presumably had been supposed to be there, they were totally unaware of the booking.com price and quoted a higher price to him, resulting in a further phonecall. The bedding was of such poor quality you couldn't tell it was properly arranged - indeed the bed wasn't properly made when we entered our room.

Reviewed By ursula220My room was small but very clean and totally sufficient for wandering pilgrim. The owner was super friendly and interested in me and my travels, which has been a rare experience in Saxony so far. Dinner was ok, better if the salad dressing would be handmade. But I would definitely stay again.
