Welcome in Sardina, at the Rural Turism La Quercia della Gallura.. mountainbike in Sardinia holiday We are Laura and Matteo Saba and our parents starting 30 years ago with an Farm Holiday (Agriturismo) business in the south of Sardinia near Arbus. Several years ago we could here in Gallura realize our dream of our own country tourism house and 2002 we opened our Turismo Rurale La Quercia della Gallura. In our cozy and small Turismo Rurale La Quercia della Gallura we want to show you our experience of Sardinia... Our Country Hotel is carefully and unobtrusively inserted into the landscape of Gallura and surround by natural granite rock formations, native juniper, mastic, myrtle and strawberry trees...a We have 12 comfortable rooms surrounded by a splendid garden. Guests can enjoy a striking panorama, typical of the hills of La Gallura. A swimming pool and restaurant serving traditional Sardinian food every evening are at the guests disposal. La Quercia della Gallura is an ideal base for visiting the most beautiful beaches in the world at Costa Smeralda (only 20 minutes away by car) and surrounding towns. We are in the middle between Arzachena and Luogosanto, a strategic point that allows you to reach within 20 to 25 km (a quarter of an hour by car) the many beaches on the north of Sardinia or is a good place for start active sports like biking and trekking. What defines us and distinguishes us from others is our genuine hospitality and spontaneity , perhaps a feature of all the Sardinians, but if you add to this a good food, good wine, comfort, the magic silence that surrounds our rolling hills, but above all our experience gained over the years since our parents in 1992, began the activity in Arbus Agriturismo near the Costa Verde and still do. ... then it makes a difference. visit our site and read what they say about us ... We look forward to welcoming you here at La QUERCIA DELLA GALLURA We hope you enjoy exploring our website.. For questions do not hesitate to contact us
I've spent a great evening, great food. I'm sorry for the magnificent place not cured enough. I didn't like some particulars because they ruined the atmosphere. The price was perfect. Spend a great time!

Hotel Santrano is situated on top of the hill known as "Monti Juanni", in the midst of an oak forest. The view is overwhelming, stretching out to the Corsican coastline. The hotel has 64 double bedrooms, each fully equipped with private balcony, color TV, dial-out phone, air conditioning, shower, hair drier, and furnished with style. Our bar/restaurant, meeting room, solarium, large garden, and private car park each contribute to making our guests' stay particulalrly enjoyable.
I stayed here for nine days with three others and here's my run-down: Location: This hotel is a perfect location to explore the whole N/NE of Sardinia and is located in the beautiful, sleepy Italian mountain village of Luogosanto which is worth a walk around in itself (the church is 11thC and beautiful). It is peaceful and authentic - we did not once see any other tourists in the town. Be sure to visit La Bottega del Sapori; a little deli shop in the town run by the most lovely local couple which sells local produce (including the ripest, tastiest fresh fruit) and if you buy a Sardinian product there is a discount for SanTrano guests! Hotel: The hotel is basic (3*) but rooms are a good size, air-conditioned and extremely clean with powerful showers. It is worth asking for a room with a front-facing balcony as they look out over the hills and it's beautifully tranquil to wake up to. The beds at first seemed hard but we soon got used to them and all slept very well. Towels and sheets are changed every four days which was fine for us. The stony garden and pool behind the hotel are beautiful and we often had the pool to ourselves for entire days. Breakfast is a simple but tasty continental buffet of fruit, omelette, cakes, croissants, ham, cheese etc with coffee/water/juice - more than enough to last you until dinner time! Staff: The hotel is family-run which is always something I look for as generally it means that all the staff care about the success of the business and go the extra mile for customers and this place is no exception. All of the staff are lovely and accommodating and speak very good English - particularly Fabrizzio. However, the star of the hotel is Marco; the best and most lovely waiter we have ever had the pleasure of knowing and we actually miss him - we love you Marco! Restaurant: We think that the hotel as it stands is 3* but that the restaurant should be at least 4*. The food is authentic and homemade (the grandmother makes the ravioli - you can't ask for more than that!) and absolutely delicious we had in our entire trip. It isn't cheap for the portion size but the quality and taste is so worth it. I ate a different thing each night we dined there as everything on the menu sounds so appealing and I wasn't disappointed once. I would definitely recommend the Ravioli. Also a brilliant wine list mostly from local vineyards. Improvements to be made: The wifi only really works in the lobby by reception, perhaps more routers/boosters could be installed. We really missed having a mini fridge in our rooms - it would make a massive improvement to daily life to be able to cool your own tap water instead of having to buy cold bottles constantly so we would suggest equipping rooms with them. I think that breakfast would be immensely improved by serving fresh fruit juice instead of squashes and perhaps a greater variety of fruit (more peaches, melon etc). One final thing which one of my party suggested is that there isn't really any bar service throughout the day and perhaps they could introduce a bar menu with snacks (paninis, frittes etc) for during the day. Overall, we would definitely stay here again, parTIcularly if fridges were introduced into the rooms.

My friend and I had the most amazing meal(s because it was so good that we decided to go back!) in Sardinia. The owner and the staff are so nice and welcoming. Everything is organic and there are plenty of amazing vegetarian choices! I will definitely look into staying there next time. Nice and quiet :)

Enjoy Sardinia from its real site - at our Landhous Agriturismo Sole e Terra. A wonderful and varied landscape scenery around, majestic beaches and a lot of space to relax and enjoy a calm holiday.Sole e Terra is is located in quiet hills in the north west of the Sardinia, named Gallura, about 45 minutes drive from the airport Olbia, Costa Smeralda. The nearest villages are the pretty mountain village Luogosanto and the smaller village of Bassacutena. The most beautiful beaches of the North West area, between Santa Teresa Gallura and Costa Paradiso, as Lu Litarroni, Rena Majore and Rena Matteu you reach in just a few minutes drive by car or bicycle. We offer six comfortable guest rooms, all with own bathroom and swimmingpool. and a variety of genuine specialities of the Italian and Sardinian cuisine, based on fresh products of our kitchengardens.
My boyfriend (now fiance!) and I booked 3 nights here as part of our summer holiday in Sardinia. Sole e Terra is beautifully situated in the countryside inbetween the hills of Bassacutena, (note - you will need a sat nav or a map!) It's a quiet, friendly, rustic agriturismo which is exclusively vegetarian. The rooms are simple, clean and ours had a beautiful view over the valley. You can sit outside and look up to all the stars. Which incidently is where we got engaged! The owners and staff were lovely and even accomodated extra guests for dinner at short notice. The quality of the food is superb. Being veggie it can sometimes be hard to find interesting food as there is usually the default cheese option. We were very happy with every meal. We ate so much and the wine was delicious. An added bonus of this place is the new swimming pool. It's big, clean and has a nice sun bathing area. When it's nearly 40 degrees there is nothing better than this! We used Sole e Terra as a base to visit the isles in the North West. It took 30 mins to drive to Palau and from there you can do an amazing boat tour of The Arcipelago Di La Maddalena. Think crystal clear waters and sandy beaches - bliss! All in all we loved this place and will definitly come back to celebrate our anniversarys! Emily and Fabrizio

Typical Gallura “Stazzo” (rural farm house) surrounded by unspoilt nature with breathtaking views. The rustic and typical lodgings are equipped with all the necessary to make your stay a comfortable one. The catering is top class and only for sleep over guests. Extremely well positioned to visit North Eastern Sardinia.
After a friendly local guided us to the driveway entrance to la China, we had still quite a drive on unpaved roads through hillside woods and farmlands. Upon arrival we discovered that there are three buildings of three rooms each. Think of summer camp with a fireplace in the room. The fourth building is the office and home of Simona, our hostess. The bed in our room was in a loft, that seemed a bit shaky, and certainly very creaky. However, the fireplace made it cozy, and the view was lovely. We discovered that the "closing party" had been the night before, and the chef, Simona's sister, wasn't there. But regardless, she put together a nice meal of a boar stew, marinated artichokes, a vegetable platter, typical antipasto, and an excellent cake for dessert; we shared dinner with Simona and her friend Elena. A pleasant evening. Breakfast was delivered to our room the evening before, to be prepared by us in the kitchenette. Different,... but okay. The accommodations were unexpected, but kind of fun, especially since we were the only people there. This would be a fun place to visit with a group of friends.... sort of a "camp out".

Agriturismo Vaddidulimu is a typical sardinian charming Farm in the green hills of the most beautiful sardinian place, the Gallura. Enjoy your holiday with friendly people, great traditional and sardinian food (produced on our farm) and best wine. Our six double rooms are comfortable, each with private bath and own terrace. The whole land is about 200 hectares. Spectacular mountain bike tours and rental are organized all over the year.
Well, I have very mixed opinions about this place. When we turned up, at about 2pm on arrival day the place was absolutely covered in a swarm of bees or wasps. I am petrified of both, so my initial instinct was to flee! We went to the nearest beach (which was stunning) and chilled out and when we arrived back at about 5pm they had all gone, never to return. The rooms are VERY basic. The biggest problem is no fridge. You can live without the air con but a fridge would be a definite advantage as you need a constant supply of water (just to get through the night) but it is always tepid. In addition to this, the place, I guess, is classed as a farm. So that basically means that for the duration of your stay your room is not cleaned. For us that was not too bad as we stayed 5 days but by that time the room was stating to look and feel dirty, especially as we went to the beach each day so sand covered the floor. So, bottom line, would I recommend it? Without a doubt, for a meal, as the food was second to none, but if you like something a little special, then no. Go for a hotel
