Hotell yes, but food... never again!
Reviewed By andrzejgumisGood location, rooms ok, Reception staff ok, but not there when people need to use the bar. We had a set menue in the restaurant and that was a disaster... Old, dry bread in the bottom of a good Toast Skagen, a Sirloin, that was tougher than a shoe sole, 25% of the company didn't eat it but the dessert was excellent!

Reviewed By Andreas BThis is a very charming hotel, located by a lake outside Karlskoga. The buildings are old, but the inside is quite modern and high standard. Great beds! The breakfast is quite ok, and the staff is very smiling and friendly :) The weather was not super good when i was here, but still i had the chance to walk around a little bit. The location is beautiful.

Reviewed By brorgCentralt i Karlskoga. Rent, fräscht. Mycket bra frukost. Familjärt och välskött hotell. Mycket prisvärt. Vi trodde först att vi var de enda gästerna men det var fullbokat. Hotellet har bara tio rum. Sju enkelrum och tre dubbelrum. Vi kommer tillbaka.

Reviewed By John FAlthough recently refurbished it is still well below par, no air con and not in town centre. Not somewhere I would recommend staying. Sadly this was the only hotel with rooms available at the time. Now I know why.

Disappointing hostel in a nice location
Reviewed By nealzThis hostel is definitely not a good choice for a stay in Karlskoga. Service simply does not exist and prices are ridiculous. Upon arrival you have to get your key from a locker box by entering a pin code. The rooms are just like any hostel room in Sweden, only that 2 out of 3 lamps in our room were broken. The family room we had booked included 2 bedrooms, a bathroom and a kitchen. Only that the kitchen had been removed in beforehand and was covered with see-through plastic which gave a great view on a big spot of mould and some sharp pipes. Only the location of the hostel is plus. Located in a very quiet area and close to the water. It somehow requires you to have a car though since there are no restaurants or supermarkets close by.
