Very pleased with our stay. Compact ensuite room looking out over the garden that overlooks the tidal river. Everything you need, kettle, fan, tea and coffee, hairdryer, safe, toiletries, opening window. Breakfast was hot and good. All the staff we met were pleasant and helpful. We would stay again.

The Abbey Hotel is an excellent base from which to explore Kent and South East coast as well as the historic towns of Canterbury and Rochester. We are also ideally located for Sheerness Deep Water Port, the Channel Tunnel Terminal and central London is only an hour away. The Abbey Hotels 50 bedrooms all have en-suite bathrooms, flat screen televisions with free view channels, direct dial telephone, tea and coffee facilities and wireless Internet.
Lovely staff, nice breakfast and good rooms. Stayed here visiting family and will come back. Had a nice chilled evening taking a few drinks back to the room and watching TV. Little one slept through the night too which is always a nice treat.

The Royal Hotel is an Edwardian building set in the centre of town, with excellent public transport links. It consists of 13 bedrooms, bar, restaurant and function room. There is regular live entertainment, 7 days a week restaurant featuring a Sunday carvery. The hotel has been under new ownership from the 31st of March 2021 and has since benefited from significant refurbishment to the rooms and bar, to provide guests with star class affordable stays in the heart of Sheerness..
On a week long visit for personal reasons, stayed at the Royal Hotel Sheerness. Super friendly staff/boss/head chef. They went out of their way to help with food requests (vegetarian/hot spicy). Rooms clean and tidy with all usual amenities. Room Finishing quality could be better but ok for price. Worth a stay and we will return.

Great one night stay. Excellent on all fronts. Mike was the perfect host. Nothing was too much trouble. Comfortable rooms. Very clean. Truly amazing choice of fresh fruit and continental style breakfast available. Really recommend this place if you're on the island.

The Shurland Hotel is located on the Isle of Sheppey, in the heart of Eastchurch. The island is accessed via the Sheppey Crossing, just 5.5 miles from the hotel. The coast at Sheerness can be reached within 6 miles and Shurland Hall is a 1-minute walk away. One half of the hotel is a building that dates back to the 19th century and was originally a pub. The Shurland Hotel also offers a complimentary continental breakfast and guests can add the option to have a full English at an additional charge. There is an on site bar and restaurant. Each room has a TV and offers free WiFi. Most rooms are located on the first floor, accessed by elevator or stairs. The village of Eastchurch is just 15 minutes’ drive from Sheerness Rail Station, with connections from the Isle of Sheppey to the mainland.
Stayed for 2 nights for a wedding on the island. Having read the reviews I really wanted them to be exaggerated so that I could redress the balance. Sadly not. Car park littered and it is clearly where hanging baskets go to die as there were around 8 of them hanging from rusty hangers, if they were removed it might give a slightly better first impression. Check in was from 2 pm, we arrived at 2.10, unable to check in as the room was still being “cleaned”. I told the man on reception this wasn’t a problem and that we would get something to eat and come back, we returned at 5pm. We were watched by the man from reception and the man from the gym struggle to open the doors with our suitcases, wedding attire and various bags, no help offered, hardly acknowledged. We were given our key, no information about breakfast times etc, literally just handed the key. Room 18, 1 x double bed 1 x bunk beds. Positives, The bedding was crisp and clean as were to towels. I am afraid that is where the positives end. Bathroom, blue spatters of toothpaste on wall, questionable brown stain on wall, bath panel and skirting disintegrated from water damage, radiator rusted, hole in door, bath tap drips constantly, sink taps spin right round when you try to turn off. Bedroom, old kettle base wired into the wall left hanging, second kettle base with dirty handled kettle, panels missing from wardrobe, strips missing from laminate furniture, stained and gritty carpet, wall light not working, drawers littered with used cotton wool and grit. No information pack, fire escape plans worn off. Bird poo on very dirty windows, guttering outside full of cigarette butts, moss and weeds growing out of conservatory walls and floor. Breakfast was “continental” coffee surprisingly good, but I like super strong coffee, no herbal teas. Nobody around to ask for any help, archaic toaster that takes for ever, hard bread. This hotel made me feel sad, it’s like the owners have given up, no morale amongst the few staff that I saw, except the 2 that spent their day smoking on the conservatory terrace, they were clearly having a lovely time!! It could be amazing as it is so close to Harty Ferry for weddings.

The Ferry House Inn is a beautiful 16th Century Country Public House situated at the edge of the Swale Estuary on the peaceful Isle of Sheppey. It is set in three acres of terraced lawns and offers a superb panoramic view over the water. The Inn has recently undergone major refurbishment throughout with particular attention to retaining its old character and charm, by incorporating open log fires, traditional wooden beams and solid oak floors. In December 2005 we opened the doors to the new Barn Restaurant. The Inn also has three double bedrooms and one twin bedroom, all beautifully furnished with en-suite facilities and offering visitors all the comfort needed for a perfect nights sleep. We can also cater for a variety of events, so whether you need a peaceful and idyllic setting for your Wedding, or a venue for your corporate event, the Ferry House Inn is quite simply ‘the perfect venue’
Stayed in Room 3 6th June 2022. Not fully soundproofed so a couple of creaking disturbances in the night, but nothing drastic and the bed was so comfortable! Room is quite boutique and the view from the window and patio area was also beautiful. Wedding was great, venue looks the part and the bar staff were very friendly and helpful. I did lose an unfinished gin through some proactive clean up when i went to dance, but id rather that than glasses everywhere! A small nit picking area for potential improvement to make it perfect would be some slightly extra care with the breakfast; the beans were very watery and the streaky bacon wasn't crisped so felt a bit fatty and stringy. Otherwise fine and hit the spot.

Myself and my bridal party stayed at Mocketts Farm the night before my wedding. We stayed in Fleet Lodge, Harriet’s Nest and The Saltings. Could not fault the stay. The cottages were a great size, couldn’t believe how big the living space and bedrooms were. Lovely views to wake up to and so peaceful around the cottages. Would definitely recommend a stay here!

Fabulous house right on top of the sea. Sea view from my room was breath taking. Host is fantastic, couldn't be more accommodating. Excellent facilities, peaceful but also social if you fancy company. I wouldn't mind living here ?
