We would highly recommend anyone to stay at this guest house. Nicky and her staff couldn’t have done anymore to accommodate our stay. Breakfast was fantastic with such generous portions. Will definitely go back.

A last minute booking was rewarded with a great stay and warm welcome, not just for us but for our canine companion too! Ideally located for visiting the many attractions in Yorkshire, The Wheatley Arms was recommended to us by friends who live locally and we were not disappointed. Travelling with dogs sometimes proves troublesome when booking hotels but not on this occasion. The hotel allocated a lovely room which was immaculate and not at all ‘doggy’. Breakfast really was exceptional with plenty of choice The staff were very friendly and went out of their way to make us all feel welcome. Would have no hesitation in recommending to fellow travellers. Why didn’t I give a 5? To be honest, only because room 9 at the very top of the premises was very warm during the night. Whilst a fan was provided it was still too warm for me…but in their defence , I live on a mountain in Snowdonia and sleep with windows and doors open all year round. Well done The Wheatley …we will definitely be back.

Overall not too bad, some highs and lows of course. Staff friendly, flexible and good service. Room was spacious and clean though new mattress needed. My partner said the best beauty treatment she’s had in ages! At dinner selection of both food and wine was quite limited though tasted fine. Breakfast a bit of a disaster - hit and miss what’s going to be served and when, food quality variable and limited selection. We’ll return because of the Spa and hope some improvements in other areas.

After reading many reviews on The Crescent Inn, I thought it would be a good place to stay for one night in Ilkley. Upon arrival we were given our room key and all was good, we ascended the staircase (which would have benefited from a vacuum) and entered our room on the first floor. We were immediately underwhelmed, the room was a good size but the furniture and decor was so flat and slightly depressing. Pencil lines still remain on the wall where they have written which lights the switches turn on. The tv on the wall was small and white and approximately 15 years old, the bedside tables were marked with tea/coffee cup stains and the wall against the refreshments table was splattered with hot drink drip marks. The bed was king size but too soft and uneven to be comfy, I did not sleep well but it was quiet to say we were overlooking the road. The bathroom floor tiles were cracked and in general it could do with updating, the shower was good and the water was hot. In the morning we had breakfast downstairs which was excellent but overall it was not worth £150. I have stayed in many hotels with various ratings but The Crescent Inn was most definitely not valve for money.

Under new management from June 2021, the Craven Heifer is a characterful village pub and restaurant incorporating seven recently refurbished en-suite bedrooms The property is located in the picturesque Wharfedale village of Addingham, close to attractions such as the famous spa town of Ilkley , the busy market town of Skipton (with its medieval castle) and the beautiful Yorkshire Dales. A perfect location for outdoor enthusiasts! The Craven Heifer is also well placed for visitors to the extensive Bolton Abbey estate, including its popular Tithe Barn wedding & events venue, approximately three miles away.
We have stayed at the Craven Heifer before under previous owners. Our return stay was an overnight one as a break on our way to the Lake District. Pleased to see that the rooms themed after Yorkshire legends remain. Our room was the De Havilland room in honour of Amy Johnson. The room was spotless clean and well appointed. We had previously stayed in the room themed as a theatrical dressing room in honour of Judy Dench. Having had a peak at the other rooms they are all pretty good. The breakfast was good and well presented. Definitely stay again when we are passing through.

It’s an old building, Victorian most likely with very steep narrow stairs to the 2 bedrooms. Not offered any assistance with our luggage. The room overlooked the Main Street, though was well enough glazed so noise wasn’t a problem. I’d describe the room as quirky, though lacking some amenities- a hairdryer! Bed was small and VERY soft, which gave a poor nights sleep Large bathroom - bath no shower had no heating at all, so very cold and sucked the heat from the bedroom as the door between could only be closed fully from inside the bathroom Can’t comment on the bar as we didn’t use it, though no breakfast was available which we hadn’t realised - the Crescent Hotel opposite has an excellent breakfast, and bar and is our choice for our next visit in May

Hotel is in a good location. Very busy for parking when we arrived Saturday afternoon, but managed to find a space on the road outside the hotel and were able to move the car to the hotel car park once a space became available. Room was clean and furnished to a modern standard. Clean but small bathroom. As other people have said, towels definitely need an upgrade, they were a bit rough and small, barely big enough to wrap around you. Mattress was a bit uncomfortable but that's just a matter of preference, someone else may think its OK so not really a complaint. Good quality breakfast cooked to order. Staff very pleasant. Overall good value for money, just a few minor changes would make it great. Would stay again

We had a lovely overnight stay and received great service. The room was nicely done out and very comfortable, and the staff were very welcoming. Loved the cricket references! Thank you for looking after us.
