The name of the hostel boat meaning Selma’s cabin & salon, a unique accommodation and cafe. Experience the maritime atmosphere by the river of Uppsala. The boat Selma is newly renovated in public areas. Free wifi in all areas, pet-friendly and low rates. We are situated in a calm area by the river, about 600 m south of the City center of Uppsala. Within walking distance to a variety of attractions, institutions and the travel center. Right across the river, we have among other things the city park, a sport arena and the University hospital Akademiska sjukhuset. The cabins are spacious and have large opening windows overlooking the river Fyrisan and City Park or wooden pier and river promenade. The cabins contains sofa, desk and spacious wardrobe. All double cabins have bunk bed with two 90 cm wide beds. In the singel cabins the only bed is 90 cm wide. Bed linen and towels included. Toilet and shower in the corridor. Cleaning every other day. Toiletries are available at a lower cost in the reception.
A great place to stay in the middle of Uppsala
Reviewed By Sue DSelmas Hytt och Salong is in a great location moored on the river very close to the centre of Uppsala. I had a single room looking over the river with a comfortable bed, a desk and chair and sufficient hanging and storage shelves. There is a cosy sitting area which is a great place to watch the sunset over the river in the evenings. A microwave, kettle and fridge are available for guests, which I found very helpful due to the high cost of eating out in Sweden. Teabags and coffee are also provided. The toilet and shower facilities are fairly basic but everywhere is spotlessly clean and the owners and staff were very friendly and helpful. I bought breakfasts which were fairly small but not expensive. The food is plated up for each guest so if there is something you do not like or cannot eat you need to tell them the evening before. I would definitely recommend Selma. The boat has great character and I found it far more interesting than staying in a hostel on land.

Reviewed By JayneSamanthaI was pleasantly surprised at how lovely this boutique hotel is for the price I paid for 9 nights for a room with a kitchen. The staff are super helpful and accommodating and I cannot praise them enough. The breakfast was more than expected after reading some of the reviews. I loved having my breakfast in the court yard. The bar is great and has television screens and on some nights live music. My daughter had her graduation party at the hotel and the food was fabulous. I would definitely return to this hotel especially for the value for money.

Allright for the money
Reviewed By RobRevetVery good central location in Uppsala, just across from the station. The staff were helpful and friendly. The unisex showers/toilet section is very well maintained and always absolutely clean. An excellent swedish breakfast - buffet with different kinds of bread, cheese, cold cuts, marmelade, waffles and boiled egg included (and available up to 11:00 !) The room is small, it's really a cabin about 2,30 x 1,60m and has no window. It's allright for just sleeping though and well explained on the booking page. The Swedish name is "Vandrarhem", meaning "hikers home", bear in mind!

Reviewed By sptw360The city is beautiful and quiet. Great restaurants and cafes around. I felt safe walking around in the evening through the streets near the hotel. The hotel itself was clean, the room comfortable, everything I needed for one night was included. The reception staff welcomed me in a friendly and professional way although I arrived late. The hotel guests were quiet and kind. Great breakfast, rich buffet. I recommend it and if I return I would book a room at this hotel again.

We are central located in mid Sweden with only 40 min drive to Stockholm, Uppsala, Västerås and Arlanda airport with local transportation service only 100 m from the B&B. Here you have the peaceful countryside but with a very easy access to the major city`s. Woodstock B&B is with in a very unique house. The building technics is a integration of 100 years old handcraft and modern comforts. It´s an 100 percent manmade house, built with environmental ecofriendly material and solutions. Naturally one "sleeps like a log" in Woodstock B&B and we are looking forward to "tuck you in".
Trevlig omgivning och bra rum
Reviewed By Thomas DAnnorlunda ställe med bra rum. Standarden på rummen var OK, sängarna var bra. Frukost fick man fixa själv på rummet. Allt fanns i kylskåpet, ägg, mjöljk, yoggi, juice. kaffe o the fanns också. Detta tyckte cvi var bra eftersom vi skulle iväg tidigt.

Reviewed By Olav12345Clean and tidy. Well equipped kitchen. Nice rooms and big nice common roms. Good beds. Nice and quiet surroundings. Especialy good if arriving with car, but busses sotps near by. All in all: Everything good. Will come back if in Uppsala. (Bed sheets and towels and cleaning is included nowadays)

Café Furirens räkmacka
Reviewed By Lena LDet var den godaste räkmacka jag någonsin ätit! Café Furiren ligger på Laxön där vandrarhemmet har sin reception. Hela Laxön är väl värt ett besök där finns mycket intressant att se såväl minnen från tiden det var militära övningar som de fantastiska fallen i Dalälven och det landskap som formats av vattnet.
