Come experience the highly rated and acclaimed escape room in Montgomery County, Maryland! Perfect for birthdays, corporate team building, family bonding events, or even just a gathering of friends.
Great experience!! Our kids range from 15 - 18 and they all enjoyed Prison Break. The guide, Usama, was very engaged and did a terrific job of helping the group with hints and encouragement. All of the kids in our group have done escape rooms elsewhere but they all felt like this was the best one. Totally worth it!

Brookside Gardens is truly an impressive gem located within the Wheaton Regional Park. It is a beautiful and well-maintained place to simply enjoy the beauty of the flowers, trees, gazebos, ponds and water structures. The water structures were not on when we visited. A bonus is the temporary outdoor exhibit honoring those in Montgomery County who died of Covid-19. The walkway has one strand of crystals in memory of each life lost. Another memorial near one of the ponds honors those who lost their lives during the sniper spree in 2002. While we were there, we saw people using the gardens as a backdrop for their wedding and Quinceañera photos. A permit is required to take professional photos. There are two conservatories on the grounds as well as a visitor center/gift shop. There is also a butterfly garden (fee), children’s garden, and greenhouse. Although there seemed to be adequate parking spaces, there was a line of cars waiting for a parking spot. The gardens have both paved and un-paved trails and paths. Most visitors, and some of the trees, wore masks because of Covid restrictions in place. Plan a visit: you will be impressed and glad you did.

This is not a walk in the park. :). this trail is fin, and challenging in areas. Grab a map, your hiking boots, gloves, and water and enjoy a great day with friends and family. Should have stability and stamina to hike this trail.

Very clean and welcoming, the Lancaster Dutch market has a great selection of food items including meats, cheeses, salads, vegetables, donuts, pies, pretzels, jams, baking mixes. pickles and lots more. There is also a wide selection of prepared foods including fried chicken, ribs, mac and cheese and the like. Prices are a bit on the high side but the selection is great and everything looks fresh.

Guided by the personal vision of its founders, Glenstone assembles post-World War II artworks of the highest quality that trace the greatest historical shifts in the way we experience and understand art of the 20th and 21st centuries. These works are presented in a series of refined indoor and outdoor spaces designed to facilitate meaningful encounters for our visitors. Admission is always free.
One Saturday we were looking for something different to do. The weather was nice, yet hiking didn’t inspire us. We googled “nearby museums” and were amazed to find this great hidden gem. Located off the beaten road, we pulled into what looked like a state park. Acres of trees and fields... we parked and walked over to the welcome center, paid a reasonable entry fee and were directed to a oath and pointed to our first stop. The walk to the first part of the museum is fabulous. We could have spent the day wandering the grounds!!! Beautiful on the cool January sunlight. We entered the museum and placed our bags on a free locker. You wander at your leisure and guides are available thorough out. Unfortunately there is very little reading and working with a guide is required... not great for Deaf and Hearing Impaired. I had to interpret for my friend . Not accessible to Deaf. Exhibits amazing and very unique. You simply have e to experience them. Words do not do them justice. We recommend this museum. And we hope they will provide ASL accessibility or at a minimum a booklet for self guide tour.

I have been bowling at White Oak Lanes for over 30 years, including a league that I was in for 20 of those years. White Oak is one of the few, if not the only Duckpin Lanes that are still in operation after decades. The staff is great, the lanes are clean and their snack bar is very good. I recommend White Oak Lanes to anyone who loves duckpin bowling.

McKee Bershers is totally worth a trip and it’s free. You feel like you’re in France and in a Monet painting. It’s off River Road in Poolsville/Potomac, MD. follow the map that’s on McKee website, there are no signs that point to the 3 sunflower fields. You can also check the condition of the flowers on the website so that you don’t make the trek If they haven’t fully bloomed due to rain or wilt at the end of the season.
