Lots of open space; with plenty of play equipment. Lovely river walk past the water fountain and pools.

The Woolly Beader . It was born from our desire to be our own bosses and live in a small village in Devon. What began as a plan to open the largest bead shop in the West Country has grown into a community centred craft shop selling a wide range of jewellery making materials and quality yarn. We are known for our superb customer service and knowledge in all things beady and yarny!!! We hope that customers feel really at home in our lovely spacious shop. We run our workshops to suit our customers so one to one tuition is the norm at no extra charge.

Great bike ride, wonderful views (especially at Meldon), and topped off perfectly with a sandwich and drink at the Castle Inn Lydford.

Great beer garden. The food at dinner was amazing, beautifully cooked cod and smooth delicious pate. Finished off with local cheeseboard with quince and prunes. Stopped in by chance and so glad we did. Back again today for another treat.

Just enjoyed a very pleasant meal at the Crossways Inn. The landlady greeted us with a warm and friendly welcome, nice choice of good traditional meals on the menu. Food arrived very promptly, nicely cooked and generous portions, desserts just as good, and compared to many local pubs and restaurants very good value. Well done and thank you Crossways, hope to be back soon!

Our first visit to this location but not our last. Had a lovely walk in the area with our ice creams and when we had finished stopped back off at the cafe for drinks and cake. Everything was delicious and very reasonably priced. Very well maintained paths to walk on and lovely scenery. We could have done with a leaflet to see where the various routes go but then we didn't ask so there may be some. Will be back for more visits I'm sure.
