Huaraz dates back to before the Incan Empire and is a great destination for travelers looking to combine cultural education with relaxation. Six of us used the walk as an acclimatisation day. The morning views with the cooler air are stunning. We were there in June and I would say its one of the easier panoramic viewpoints from Huaraz by collectivo or shuttle to the start of the trail.
