McDougal Orchards

McDougal Orchards is a diversified, seventh generation family farm in Southern Maine. We specialize in growing high quality apples for pick-your-own customers and our farm stand. You can find us a mile from downtown Sanford and close to the beaches and lakes of York County. Come explore the historic farmland and orchards, or stop in quickly for some ready-picked fruit in the barn. Capt. Jack is usually making fresh cider donuts out in the Donut Shack, too! Come visit our farm animals, spend time in our picnic area, build a woodland house in our fairy village, or get lost in our corn maze. We also offer miles of trails throughout the property for our visitors to enjoy an energetic hike or a leisurely stroll. We are open Mid-August through November for apple picking. Also find us at the Sanford Farmers' Market May-October

This is a little family orchard (seven generations apparently) in Springvale, ME. We stopped by as we were travelling for fall colors. Nice little orchard with pick your own option. Small retail store with number of apple varieties that they grow on site. Additionally, they have their own cider mill and bottle their own apple cider - including some niche custom blends like Honeycrisp Cider. Be sure to visit Capt Jack's Donut shop on site for apple cider donuts and apple cider. Beautiful little apple orchard in Maine - give it a stop.
