Tamarindo is a prime spot for surfing and sportfishing, diving and sunning. Nesting leatherback turtles do their thing along the beaches from October to May and, for some nesting of your own, gorgeous beach houses, B&Bs and luxury hotels line the sunny sands. Shopping and dining options are superb and plentiful, perfect for sampling the true flavors of Costa Rica.

Hi my name is Lady! I'm a local expert in Costa Rican food. All my life I have been passionate about cooking so throughout the years I have mastered the recipes and techniques I learned from my mother and grandmother. My family has enjoyed (and tasted) my passion. They encouraged me to share it with others by offering a unique Costa Rican food experience.

Tamarindo's pioneer craft brewery since 2011. Located in Tamarindo, 100m past the Tamarindo Gym. Also, serving delicious beers on the beach in our tasting room, El Vaquero, and Eat @ Joe's.
My wife and I went to both locations, up the hill and right in Tamarindo, and tried all 4 of the Volcano brews. All really good. I particularly enjoyed the IPA. We went several times and the staff were all really nice.

This farmers market far exceeded our expectation! It was a great opportunity to chat with and get to know the locals of Tamarindo. The fruit stands had very reasonable prices - far more reasonable than the grocery stores. They allow you to try the fruits before buying, as well. Our favorite part of the farmers market, however, was the empanada stand. A wonderful family sells absolutely delicious empanadas... we even stopped by again later in the day for more! I would highly recommend anyone stop by the farmers market.. go out and support the locals!
