Pays de la Loire (French pronunciation: [pe.i də la lwaʁ]; Breton: Broioù al Liger, meaning Loire Country) is one of the 18 regions of France. It is one of the regions created in the 1950s to serve as a zone of influence for its capital, Nantes, one of a handful so-called "balancing metropolises" (métropoles d'équilibre)¹.

One little town in Northern France hosts the biggest and oldest round-the-clock endurance motor race in the world each June. And Le Mans 24 Hours is, indeed, huge. Cars roar through the night round a circuit, which is partly racetrack and partly (closed off!) public roads. Most fans will be content to watch this on TV but thousands of diehard petrolheads make a personal pilgrimage to Le Mans each year by any means necessary, for a weekend of thrills, spills, and partying.
"Les Nuits de la Tour" ("The Tower Nights") offer you a sound and light show with an original story, authentic decorations, costumed comedians, colorful dances, a cavalry and its teams, all in on a historic site at the foot of the Moricq Tower at Angles.
