Almunécar Playa Velilla where you get lovely beach and a real old Spanish Town.
Reviewed By Culture523517I and my wife with our friends have been going to this wonderful Spanish town and the Playa Velilla staying at the Tao1 building. You only walk across the street and you are on the beach close to many different restaurants among our famous Primera Ola witch serve us with great food at a reasonable price and very friendly staff and some sea sports entertainment. We have been going to Alunécar for six years now and we hope to get there next September as usual.

Central location, clean apartment
Reviewed By hughw477Excellent location. A little over 100 metres to the beach. In the center of the town with a lot of small plazas nearby where you can eat and enjoy the sun. Small shops close by selling pastries, vegetables, bread, etc. Great restaurants close by. Less than a 10 minute walk to the bus station if you want to travel to other towns and cities. The apartment is very clean. Cleaning and fresh linens provided weekly. A lot of nice small touches (the knives are very sharp, we had 3 Juliet balconies, washing machine in the apartment, reclining chair, powerful shower, fast Wi-Fi, comfortable beds, clothesline). The owners are friendly and helpful. We were there a full month and felt right at home. We would stay there again.

Reviewed By PetergibGreat hotel right next to the beach. Also very close to bars, restaurant and shopping centre, staff very friendly and helpful. Pet friendly and with lots of things to do as there were plenty of entertainment. Rooms were very large ideal for self catering

Quiet tranquillity
Reviewed By kevin_trueblueAlmunecar is a small spanish town situated on the Costa tropical about a 1 hour drive from Malaga, a destination loved by the Spanish themselfs, who colonize every inch of the place from mid June to the beginning of September. If your looking for a mini Blackpool with the sun you are in the wrong place. The apartments are a good walk or drive from the beach's but this is compensated by the well proportioned terraces which are furnished to an excellent standard. Plus there is the peace and quiet not always associated with Spanish holidays. The apartments are well decorated, spotless and comfortable with most of what you would need for a pleasent stay. There is underground parking plus ample off street parking at the apartments. This is mainly a Spanish town, yes there are some good expat bars and restaurants but you will need at least some basic Spanish to get by. When you order a beer or drink in any local bar or restaurant you will get tapas, don't panick, it's free a true old fashioned tradition, just smile say thank you and enjoy.

Reviewed By Catalina DAlquilamos un apartamento para dias, cuando lo vimos nos dió ganas de llorar, parecia que habian desalojado a los ancianos que hay vivian y nos metian a nosotros. Aunque el apartamento estaba en primerisima linea de playa, era un desastre. Nos quejamos y nos fueron cambiando 2 noches en un Hotel y tres noches en otro de sus apartamentos que aunque situado en primera linea de mar, una cama de matriomonio para pigmeos y colchon roto y un sofa roto sin sabanas. No pudimos dormir en toda la noche. Mal no lo siguiente. El Gerente un informal.
