The tickets are available over the counter half an hour before the play which spares all the hassle with prebooking. The theatre itself is impressive and the play worth seeing even for non Japanese speakers. The costumes from Edo period look like a fairytale, it was also suprising to hear the music and voices during the play. You can use Enhlish transcripts.

Welcome to Western Banjo! Western Banjo, a country and western music bar, is located on Sukiya-dori, Ginza, Tokyo. Classy American decor brought from the States is reminiscent of “good old days”. Band plays three times a night from 7:30 pm to 10:45 pm. This lively bar is always full of singing and laughter. What makes this bar unique is that guests are most welcomed to sing and dance to the music. Nearly 70% of the guests enjoy singing. Good or bad doesn’t matter. Just enjoy! Sing country standards, songs of John Denver, George Strait, Elvis Presley, Eagles, CCR, and Carpenters. Popular ones are “Take me home country road”, “I saw the light”, “Desperado”, “Have you ever seen the rain” and “Sweet Caroline”. Mr. Sodai, the founder of the bar, and who dedicated himself to keep the sound of country and western music in Ginza, the heart of Japan for as long as 37 years, and now, I follow his footsteps. I’d be honored to be a part of Western Banjo’s long-lasting history.
