Think you need an ocean for a beach? Think again. There are miles and miles of sandy lakefront beaches in Michigan (thanks to the four Great Lakes that border it). The west coast of Michigan has especially nice beaches—try a rental in Muskegon, Grand Haven or Saugatuck. You won’t need a car when visiting Mackinac Island. In fact, they’re not allowed—this lovely Victorian resort town is pedestrian-only.

A charming little shop in the heart of downtown Caseville located in the historical 1903 Hubbard Bank Building. We are a gift shop where you will find unique items, clothing and T-shirts, Michigan made foods, and more, with a coffee bar smack dab in the middle. During the summer months we offer pastries, Sandwiches and Salads. Venture upstairs to find items of vintage as well as home/cottage furnishings. Lemon Tree is open daily from Memorial Day through Labor Day and weekends through Hollyberry (the first Saturday in November)

We love enjoying a variety of musicians in this intimate venue. Seating for only 100, every seat is up close and personal. While not every show is our taste, the quality is excellent, we have enjoyed some excellent and unique shows here. It’s a great date night. Some shows are appropriate and even designed for families with children, others are not. There is a coffee/tea bar and ice cream shop.

As of spring, 2008, the classic Mikulich general store, at Traunik's four-corners, has now become an espresso coffee bar, organic market and fair trade gift shop. It carries high quality organic goods whenever possible, without being too expensive for the neighborhood, and also offers a bulk buying club. (Fair trade goods support small producers and workers around the world.) Lily's remarkable green statements are listed with the National Green Pages & Co-op America.
