Art-Exhibition Complex Country House of Bashenin

The art and exhibition complex of the Museum of history and culture of the Middle Kama region opened in 1995. Located in the former merchant's cottage, the monument of cultural heritage of Federal importance. Giving mayor merchant-lumberman P. A. Bachinina 100 years ago became a symbol of the new aspirations of the architecture, the epitome of the art Nouveau ideas of the harmony of beauty and use. Cottage Bashenina set the tone not only in architecture but also in the cultural life of Sarapul. Today, the art and exhibition complex "Villa Bashenina" invites residents and guests to get acquainted with the unique history of the house and its inhabitants, to enjoy the beauty of the old Park, make a wish at the fountain, photographed in the interiors of merchant houses. In the halls of authentic paintings by Russian and European artists of XIX - XX centuries, carved furniture, dishes, musical instruments and much more.

Drove through Izhevsk and of course had to visit. Definitely need to visit here as Kalashnikov is an icon of this country. You need a passport and drivers license to shoot.

St Michael’s cathedral is a beautiful and sits proud on its little hilltop. Inside is over the top decorated in gold and has beautiful paintings all over the roof. Overall this is definitely a beautiful place to visit and definitely recommend visiting.
