Well worth the effort. We went after rain and the falls were superb. Hike back up was definitely a work out! We continued down to fish falls for some extra scenery before heading back.

Great place to visit young and old.Doesnt matter who you are this place has lots of relevance to flying. And the best thing its only four blocks from the Roxburgh wine and coffee bar in Thompson street.

The gardens are laden with beautiful green shady European trees and rambling green lawns and is a great place to go on a hot day. As soon as you enter you can feel a cool drop in the temperature, because of the shade and greenness, giving instant relief. There's a lovely duck and fish pond with a walking bridge and kids love to feed the ducks. There's also a playground and plenty of room for children to play and run around. There's a lovely rotunda on the lawn area and a beautiful old water fountain along the path that rambles throughout the gardens. A great place to take the family.

Hamilton Gallery’s collection is celebrated for its exceptional breadth and quality. The decorative arts collection, and eighteenth century works on paper, such as watercolour landscapes by Paul Sandby (1731-1809), make Hamilton Gallery a leading regional gallery in Australia. The collection includes works by major European and Australian artists. Contemporary Australian paintings form an impressive area of display. Our glass collection spans all major European glass producing traditions, with a particularly strong representation of Scandinavian glass. The Asian art collection which began with the Herbert and May Shaw Bequest (1957) now rivals some State Gallery collections. In Chinese ceramics each of the major dynasties are represented, and contemporary Japanese ceramics are a collection highlight. Our European porcelain, stoneware and earthenware show the major stylistic and technical developments from the sixteenth century to today. It is now sixty years since the core collection was bequeathed to the people of Hamilton.
To me this is the perfect regional gallery - beautifully lit with an excellent collection of old and hew, permanent and temporary. We went to see if there were paintings of the Grampians, and there was a wonderful collection on display including Emus on the Western Plains (and an hour later we saw almost an identical view). There was also a a beautiful little Margaret Olley exhibition, very well hung. After a horrible experience in the Warrnambool Gallery (with no mention of the famous von Guérard Tower Hill painting), it restored my faith in regional galleries.

Amazing to visit after rain. Easy viewing platform right at car park or you can walk down the stairs (5 mins). Probably my favourite waterfalls in Victoria due to accessibility. The reserve has toilets, bins and picnic area.

Magnificent place to visit. Short drive from Hamilton. Close to where I grew up. The falls are stunning from the top as well as from the bottom if you feel like a walk. Great place to meditate!

Wow what a walk back in time. Not only a great selection of old cars all in working condition but the collection of other items around the walls etc will bring you back to your child hood days. Friendly hosts with a wealth of knowledge about every car as all privately owned by the Campes. Fantastic place to visit and highly recommend
