Beautiful walk with reflections in the lagoon if you chance it on a fine and calm day. Takes about 40 mins to do the loop from the town centre depending on your walking speed and how long you want to sit on one of the benches to soak up the views.

Mrs Woolly's has something for everyone! Our in-house chef makes delicious cakes and baked goods daily which go really well with our fantastic barista coffee. What a gorgeous looking building and outter buildings too - well worth a stop - lovely things to purchase, from housewares to clothing and then grocery items. A small but good food selection and coffee - just a nice warm stop along your drive.

A cozy shop/cafe which is the check in point for various tours and transport in the area. In addition to lots of information about the area and a ticket service, The Trading Post is filled with NZ made treasures and excellent food and drink offerings. There are books about our stunning country, pewter jewelry, delicious soaps, natural cosmetics, local art, gifts for kids and more. Our amazing coffee is complimented by home baked goods, featuring world-famous carrot cake, brownies, slices, huge chocolate chip cookies and scones with jam and cream. We have plenty of knowledge about the local area and are happy to help enhance your Glenorchy experience.
Surprisingly good little cafe. We had Tumeric Latte, tea and carrot cake. The carrot cake was one of the best I've had. A great selection of desserts and in the middle of nowhere, which Glenorchy is, this was an excellent find. The drive to Glenorchy is beautiful and for those who love Scotland it's almost a home from home.

Absolutely gorgeous stop - there is the shed just by the waterfront where many have taken a picture - then the vista of the three mountains together (which were in the hobbit movie) just a stunning place in NZ - turn left from the drive from Queenstown once you enter the town.
