California's capital city is often overlooked by tourists seeking out better known destinations in other corners of the state. Look again: Sacramento offers a range of exciting, educational and historic attractions sure to entertain all. Families will want to check out the cheetahs, jaguars and crocodiles at the Zoo while political buffs should head to the state Capitol, which features a park and museum on California history, or the Governor's Mansion. Anyone with an interest in trains will enjoy the Railroad Museum's massive collection of antique locomotives. Everyone will enjoy the restaurants and shops of historic Old Sacramento on the city's lovely waterfront.

We stopped here for a beer before dropping some friends at the airport. On a weeknight there was a small crowd but plenty of seating inside and out. My 3 year old loved having a grassy area outside to run around on and they also have a separate grassy area for dogs. The beer was great. The only downside is that we planned on eating dinner from a food truck but for some reason the food truck closed early so our visit was cut short, not the brewery's fault.

Since 2016, Big Stump Brew Co. has brewed thousands of barrels of beer out of our custom brewhouse. We are inspired by the fact that behind the pint you hold in your hand there are countless years of history, innovation, and hard work. On the other side of that very same pint are the relationships that create and bind our community together. Every day across the world, thousands of individual stories unfold over cold pints. Our mission is to let you have a unique moment of relaxation through the intersection of friends, food, and our preferred vehicle of craft - sour beer. Our brewpub is open to all people. For your best days to celebrate and the days when you need a new plan of attack. When the voice in your head says let’s dump all this busy work on the project manager’s desk and go out for a drink. For sure. But we do want to remind you to drink responsibly. See you at Big Stump Brew Co.
Love this place!! Absolutely the best sours in Sacramento. Great variety of every kind of beer though. Other favorites include the blonde and stout. They also have wine now and a great charcuterie spread if that’s the mood you’re in. Besides the beer they have a great outdoor space set up (it’s expanded even due to Covid) and it’s dog friendly. Friendly employees and great to go specials. One of my go to places.
