This was our first time to go on a private tour here in China and it was well worth it. Peter was an excellent guide, who took care of everything, and was very knowledgeable and pleasant to be with. Visiting the Great Wall was a highlight for me and my kids loved riding back down in the toboggan. Being able to jump in the van and relax as we were driven from place to place was great and it is highly recommended if you have kids. Our driver, Lee, was very polite and both he and Peter provided a great service. I highly recommend this tour.

She could answer every question. She sought out our preferences and made changes to the agenda based on our input. Flexibility is her middle name. This trip was an absolute highlight of my time in China. As a non-Chinese speaker, with a limited time to spend in Shaanxi and a strong love of food, it took away the uncertainty and difficulty that often comes with finding the best things to eat and to do off of the well-trod tourist path. The itinerary was a perfect balance of eating, sight-seeing and socialising, covering all of the best-known sights while also veering off into territory no non-local could find. And the food was THE BEST EVER, well-curated, plentiful, and expertly explained by our guide. Thanks @LostPlate.

Our tour guide Owen brought us to the Muslim Quarter in Xi’an. Of particular interest was the mosque which looks very much like a prayer garden. Owen pointed out many points of interest. He brought us to the prayer hall. We could not enter but doorways are open so that you can peer in. It is one of the oldest mosques in existence. Thanks to Owen we discovered this. Also we visited the Terra-cotta soldiers. This was a great tour. Since this is a popular site, our guide, Owen took us there when others would be leaving for lunch. A great strategy! Owen explained what was happening in each of the 4 pits. Without his excellent explanation it would have been a bunch of figures in a pit. I would highly recommend this tour. Thank you Owen! The city wall is worth the climb. Beautiful view of the city and an opportunity to get an understanding of life in the past. Our guide, Owen, did a superb job of explaining the wall structure as well as the purpose and the different gates, etc. I highly recommend going to the city wall.

What an amazing show. We watched it 21.50pm with our little 2years old son. We can't understand Chinese but the 360°stage and the light effects were very interesting. We bought the tickets in our hotel and picked them up 30 min before at the theatre. I would recommend it.
