The gateway to the Loire Valley, Tours offers plenty to admire in its own right. Gothic architecture, café-lined squares, and manicured gardens conjure up a Parisian atmosphere without the crowds in this university town tucked between the banks of the Loire and Cher rivers.

Stayed 2 nights at this property and the beginning and end of our cycling trip around Loire Valley. The property itself is lovely and perfectly situated to enjoy a trip to the Loire Valley. Denis was really helpful in getting us started on our trip with some great recommendations. The rooms were really comfortable and the breakfast was great. Much nicer to support small local businesses than large hotels and a much nicer service.

la Heraudiere bed and breakfast ( 5 rooms), a splendid house inside the city of TOURS, full of character and typical of the Touraine region (the Loire Valley castles), offering a warm, easygoing and relaxing atmosphere, extends a warm welcome to its guests, all year round. Private parking in a large garden. Easy connection with downtown by the tram or the bus.
This unremarkable property offers a spacious bedroom, free parking inside and 2km drive to Tours city centre. Breakfast is just average. The room was somewhat dirty, not the floor, but the curtains and some walls even had spider cobwebs.

Welcome to La Tour de Saint Cyr, your Tours “home away from home.” La Tour de Saint Cyr aims to make your visit as relaxing and enjoyable as possible, which is why so many guests continue to come back year after year. Given the close proximity of popular landmarks, such as Château de Tours (2.6 mi) and Cathédrale Saint-Gatien (2.6 mi), guests of La Tour de Saint Cyr can easily experience some of Tours' most well known attractions. Free wifi is offered to guests, and rooms at La Tour de Saint Cyr offer a desk and a walk-in shower. During your stay, take advantage of some of the amenities offered, including outdoor furniture and a sun terrace. For travelers arriving by car, free parking is available. While in Tours be sure to experience local oyster favorites at L'idee Hall. If you are interested in exploring Tours, check out a history museum, such as Hôtel Gouin. La Tour de Saint Cyr puts the best of Tours at your fingertips, making your stay both relaxing and enjoyable.
Pros: • Excellent bathroom and toilet • All area is very clean • Kind and attentive villa’s hostess • Free safe private parking (though there is plenty of free public parking around) • The area around is rather quite • Excellent WiFi speed Cons: All my remarks below do not represent a criticism but rather my poor initial attention to the description of the available facilities of the “La Tour de Saint-Cyr” at the Booking.com site. • It is just B&B offer, though not a cheap one. • TV is not there (which is not a major problem if you stay there for couple of days), neither there is a small fridge (which is more important in my view). During the week that we stayed there (22-27 July) the daily temperature was running up to +35°. In our days this simple facility (small fridge) is generally available even in a cheaper places. • Very stylish, but not very practical furnishing. • This accommodation is rather far away from the important attractions in Tours. Walking distance to the regular public transport (tram and bus) is almost 2 kms. • To stay and in this place and use it as a base for the tour around Loire Valley one needs to have a car. • This accommodation is still quite fine, but, in my opinion, it is adequate for maximum 1-2 nights.

This is a small private hotel in the centre of Tours. Street parking close by, not too expensive (a cheap overnight rate). The owner is friendly and welcoming. The rooms are fresh and clean. What more can you ask as this was just an overnight stay. Ideal for us.

Luxury guesthouse, la maison jules is set in a charming 19th century mansion, with garden,in the historic heart of tours; entirely renovated the guest house offers a peaceful haven a few meters away from the train station, the cathedral and the congress centre, combining the elegance of its century and contemporary comfort.
If you can get a reservation at La Maison Jules, I advise you to take it. We enjoyed our 2 night stay at the start of an organized Bike ride in the Loire Valley. Alexandra, the kind and thoughtful host is more interested in creating guest experiences than in having the maximum number of stays possible at her Inn. The rooms are spacious with a bathroom almost larger than the bedroom and modern in amenities.. Beautiful woodwork throughout the house and a complete and local breakfast. She will give you as much info as you want about how to explore the city and beyond.

Hôtel et chambre propre, très bien situé, proche du centre, des commerces, bars et restaurants des halles, place du monstre et place plumereau. Je recommande surtout pour l'accueil agréable, chaleureux et bienveillant.
