The covid precaution measures non-existent. We had breakfast 25 people all together in closed area, with air condition. The area is the most indifferent and secluded of the island. The most touristic, low quality and unoriginal place of the island

An excellent place to stay in Kythera island. Run by the owner Maria, a very friendly, dynamic and caring person with a multidimensional personality, this facility offers magnificent seaview, clean and comfortable rooms with daily room service, rich and high-quality breakfast at a logical price. Definitely recommended, we enjoyed it the most, and hope to visit again next year.

We stayed there for 4 nights. Now, you have to take into account that different people require different things. The hostess is truly welcomin upon arrival but.. despite the fact that it's a beach hotel there are no umbrellas or beds in front of the hotel. I consider this a minus since it would make good business if it had. it is in a quiet location. next to it there is a restaurant which only opens at noon. it is a 10-min walk to a sandy beach with 2 beach bars, with umbrellas and beds. the coffee there is good and the cost for umbrella and 2 beds is 5e ( which i think is excellent ). very polite people and accommodating. for the first time in my travels to greek islands, the owner of the beach bar treats his customers with fruit or biscuits. and the politeness is genuine. The hotel : ( my comments are based on previous experiences in greek islands ) it's very clean, with new furniture and facilities. the breakfast is a buffet which means it should be replenished until the expiration time. this did not happen one day when guests where more than expected (?). the reaction was rather childish with waving hands when we asked if there is more bread. some supplies were brought after that but nothing that would justify the glowing reviews i read here ( concerning the breakfast ). the variety is good but nothing exceptional. all in all this is a good hotel in a quiet location, close to main hub of agia pelagia.

In a small village of Agia Pelagia of Kythira island we built a small hotel about 80 metres away from the seaside with 7 seven double bed rooms. All the rooms have sea view and individual balconies.
The owners were very hospitable polite and friendly. They welcomed us with homemade sweets and gave us very good directions about the places, sights and restaurants to visit on the island. The room was very pretty, clean and affordable, with all the necessary comforts (air condition- hairdryer, iron). The beach and the restaurants/bars of Agia Pelagia were very close to the room (you can go on foot). If I visit Kythira again, I will certainly stay in Kythira Golden Sun.

What a lovely hotel. Lovely location, extremely friendly and attentive staff . The breakfasts were lovely. The hotel was beautifully clean, the beds comfy and there was even a kettle in the room. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay

Terrific place to use as a based to explore the beautiful island of Kithira. Clean and spacious rooms, great homemade breakfast to keep you going until dinner so you can enjoy the whole day at the beach. The owner is always here to help you enjoy a perfect vacation. Highly recommended.

We have just returned from a 2 week stay. We were in Mylos apartment which had a fantastic large terrace with a distant sea view. We also looked at Alkyon and Kamares which are bigger, but we loved the quirkiness of Mylos with windows in the kitchen floor showing the workings of the watermill. The apartment was spotless and we enjoyed the breakfast items that were provided - bread, eggs, cheese, yoghurt and honey. Vangelis is very friendly and helpful and nothing is too much trouble for him. We also met his charming mother Freda who gave us delicious cake most days! On leaving, Vangelis gave us gifts from his shop and also a bottle of his own olive oil. Thoroughly recommended.

We had rented the rooms for 5 days and when we arrived she said that it was only available for 2 days and that somebody may leave and she will find us a room if he leaves .That behaviour is inappropriate and unfaithful.
