Brought to life by the audio guide. It is well worth reading the information boards at the start and going carefully round with the guide. Visit the castle, too for a fuller picture of life in the past.

We loved it here! A really interesting house & gardens with some lovely short woodlands walk. The cafe was also good - We had a really nice baked potato & later had a coffee & cake. We also spent some time just sitting in the deckchairs provided to just enjoy the view of the fabulous house. This is definitely one of my fave NT properties & highly recommend a visit.

Arranged through the Tourist Information Centre, Ivor gave us the most interesting and helpful tour that took over 2hrs. Highlights included how the town had changed over the centuries and what a significant part it had played in the development of England throughout the ages. We were gripped all the way through. Highly recommended.

Its an impressive intact 15th century gateway that you can drive through on your way into the town. Well worth a photo stop.

We have been to Oxborough Hall many times but after events over the last few months it felt like a special treat to visit this Fathers Day. Entry is currently by prebooked ticket with a half hour time slot for entry (time slots open up every Friday in the National Trust website for the week ahead). We arrived about 15 minutes before our designated entry (no problem), enjoyed a picnic from the back of car which was very pleasant as you are just outside the walled garden and with restricted numbers it’s not busy. We chose the shorter of the two one way walks open today which takes you through an interesting wood with streams running through. The kitchen garden was bursting with produce and although the exterior of the house is currently covered in scaffolding for a huge restoration project it’s still a beautiful setting and actually quite interesting to see how they have installed scaffolding around a moated property. Highly recommended for a family afternoon out with plenty of glorious outdoor space.
