The private tour was awesome especially since it was just 2 of us. Our guide Johan was very friendly and knowledgeable and our driver Edgar was very nice. We were able to spend a lot of time at each stop and even make a pit stop for snacks and souvenirs. Johan was a very good and patient photographer. I would do this tour again.

This was an excellent tour from the port for $25.00 a person. It was 3 to 3.5 hours long. We had a driver and a tour guide and both spoke english. It was a good tour and we saw a wild three toes sloth climbing down from a tree as well as a large Aguana. We tasted fruits, cocao, and coconut milk. We got to see lots of the small city and the country side.

It was an amazing experience, I went with my parents and they loved the tour It consists of a wagon that goes through the Tarcolitos river, with the birds singing, and diferent trees and plants. The customer service is great, and the walk thru Santa Lucía's village is an unforgettable experience.

If you’re looking for a package tour please don’t read this review. If you’re looking for a highly individualized and very reasonably priced private tour that will totally amaze you then read on!! We were very lucky to find Ariel. He is a true local person , with great English and an amazing knowledge. Our first tour with him was kayaking in the gandoca lagoon . It was so serene and dreamy and it’s obvious that he has a deep natural connection to his land. He knows all the animals and birds and can spot things you would never notice ! We loved the first tour so much that we booked another excursion with him in which we combined a private visit to a Bribri shaman. This was absolutely a stunning and very soulful experience. It’s heavily recommended ! We then went to a family cocoa plantation where the family took us in and showed us their bountiful land and crops. I have attached a few pictures of our experiences. Ariel is reasonably priced and a true gentleman! You would be lucky to get him as a guide.
