We will drive on the touristic road of the champagne area. You will enjoy views, discover the vineyards and landscapes of the area which are listed as UNESCO world heritage. The vineyards are planted on the hillside of the mountain of Reims. We will have a stop at the special lighthouse which is in front of the Champagne plain and at a 200 yo windmill in the middle of the vineyards. At each stop, I will give you informations through funny stories and explain you why the place is unique but the Champagne too : the grappe varieties, the plants growing, the harvest and the most important the tasting ! We will do a stop to the Verzy trees called "Faux" which are special twisted trees uniq in the word. And we will finish with a tasting of Champagne in the middle of the mountain of Reims and the vineyards. I also organise more complete tours in an all day with lunch and visits.

We will drive on the touristic road of the champagne area. The vineyards are planted on the hillside of the mountain of Reims. At each stop, I will give you informations through funny stories and explain you why the place is unique but the Champagne too : the grappe varieties, the plants growing, the harvest and the most important the tasting ! My friend winemaker will welcome us at his place and we will visit his family exploitation. He will explain you his daily work and show you the different steps of production of champagne : from the press to the cellar going through the tanks room where the juices are stock waiting for the bottleling. We will save a lot of time for the tasting which is the most important. I also orgonise more complete tours in an all day with lunch and visits.

This tour is totally private. Your guide will take care of you all during these 2 days. He will explain you the history and give you most of the information through funny stories to have a good. In 2 days, you'll have a gobal overview of the champagne : the big houses and the small producers. You will taste 4 different big houses champagne the first day and 2 small producers with minimum 8 glasses the second day ! Are you ready to go off the beaten path and taste the best champagnes ?

Stephane was a great host to the Champagne region. He communicated well as we prepared for the trip. From the minute he picked us up outside our train car, he made the day special. Our highlights were breakfast in a vineyard with treats made by his wife and lunch with a champagne maker, both activities that Stephane suggested for the day. My only regret is not trusting him more on the locations. His picks were the best part of the visit.

Special lunch at winemaker house with champagne, and second visit with tasting in another champagne house. No marketing brands, only good « terroir » wines.

We had a wonderful experience touring the highlights of Reims with Gwendol and Royal Journey this past September and I highly recommend you use him and his services! We had a limited amount of time in the area, and wanted to maximize seeing a few of the highlights. He designed an itinerary for us that balanced sight-seeing of priority spots for us (Reims cathedral, Hautvillers, Eparnay) with some relaxation time tasting champagne at a wonderful spot he recommended (L'Ecurie in Eparnay owned by Champagne de Venoge). Gwendol is very knowledgable, contributed informative, educational details about the various places we visited and was kind, easygoing and friendly. He rolled with the punches with our motley crew and made the whole touring experience so seamless and easy. Gwendol's Mercedes V class van was lovely, clean and comfortable, and he picked us up and dropped us off in a timely fashion at our rented property. Thank you, Gwendol, for providing us with such a lovely experience visiting the beautiful area of Reims.
