Other than our unique biospheres, wildlife, diverse people, culture and history, one of the truly amazing aspects of living in Cape Town and the Western Cape is that we are privileged to enjoy both the majestic surrounding mountains as well as the beauty of the ocean. On this 2 day/1 night tour, we manage to showcase this as locals, through a range of truly unforgettable experiences within the countryside and small villages of the Overberg Region. Alongside locals who feel as passionate about their home and trade as I do, we will forge a collection of memories that center around a common theme: "Born of the Sea, Guided by the Stars, Blessed by the Earth." What makes this tour so unique is that it packs in many different elements of our incredible way of life here in the Western Cape, which will leave you with a true understanding of what locals enjoy... observe wild horses roaming through an historic town, spot whales, dolphins and penguins off a stunning coast line and so much more!

Experience a guided walk of Phillipskop with an expert on the fynbos that makes this part of the world unique. Chris is a recognised world authority on the Cape flora but his knowledge goes beyond that to cover the birds, animals and geology of the Phillipskop and the Klein River Mountains as well. He is also able to share insight into Phillipskop Cave, a unique heritage site as it is the only recorded location for rock art on the Cape Whale Coast. The walk is manageable for all ages and requires only a standard level of fitness. The length of the walk is 4km, mostly level but with a short uphill stretch at the end to reach the cave (optional). You will see plants only known from the mountains of the south-western Cape, learn about the animals and birds that are protected within the reserve, and understand more about the history of the people who inhabited the Cape before the Europeans arrived.

I was put on a bus with teenagers aging 15-19. They were shouting and screaming the entire way n throwing water at each other. Me and my sister got soaked wet. And when I asked them to stop they called me “LOCA” and almost got physical with me with the bus driver watching. At the hostel, I couldn’t sleep for 3 consecutive nights because of how noisy they were. I spoke to the bus driver and he just dismissed me. His excuse was it’s communal living and I had to put up with the drunk screams till 3 am every night. The tour at the safari was meant to be one hour and ended as a 45 min tour of seeing nothing. The bus driver kept on pushing and embarrassing us to buy food and drinks that we didn’t need from the restaurants and cafes to get his commission which made us extremely uncomfortable. The hostel was dirty. The entire experience unpleasant if u r anything above 30, it’s not the right place for u. When we came back, we complained to the office on long street. Again, they were dismissive and didn’t even bother to apologize.

Cape Agulhas if you are visiting South Africa, should be on your list of the things to do.This is where the Atlantic Ocean and Indian Ocean meet, and from the lighthouse, you get a picturesque view of the the two Oceans. To complement the marker for the meeting of the Indian and Atlantic Oceans the park service has installed a huge topographical map of the African continent. It is amazing to walk around it and recognize the mountain ranges, river basins and other geographic features. Puts many things in perspective seeing it all laid out in front of you! In addition new walkways have been installed to add to visitors enjoyment of this beautiful area. If they are lots of people you will have to stand in line to get a picture at the marker. Amazing tour!! Lele and the Langa tour guide were awesome! Very informative, helpful, insightful, and willing to go over and beyond to ensure their clients experience the ultimate tour. We were very fortunate and blessed to travel to Robben Island and get a once in a lifetime experience, and get the opportunity first hand to listen to inspiring and informative insights from the tour guides on the conditions and unfortunate circumstances political prisoners endured while incarcerated there. It is a most tour if you are in Cape Town, but understand the weather conditions dictate whether or not the boat leaves the docking area in order to travel to Robben Island, and not fault of the travel company. Even though it is understanding the customers may feel disappointed in not being able to visit Robben Island. Nevertheless, it blessing to be able to experience the Robben Island and Township tour and learned about apartheid history and the effects it had on the people in South Africa, and the continue social, psychological, and financial economic problems they continue to deal with this very moment. True story of South Africa from the people who live there, but still seeing the inspiring stories of fighting for freedom and social equality and economic prosperity.

Welcome to the Overberg region of South Africa, known for its abundance of outdoor activity, natural beauty and marine life. Enjoy the scenery and many attractions the southern most point of Africa has to offer. What better way to explore the region than on an ebike or electric bicycle. This itinerary has 2 full days of riding from the Elgin Valley through to Hermanus ending at the southern tip of Africa at Cape Agulhas. Riding is moderate to easy on country gravel and tar roads. Depending on weather and wind conditions, we can also reverse this itinerary.

6. Shark Cage Diving Gansbaai

Van Dyks Bay, 7220, South Africa Apex Shark Expeditions

Dyer Island and Shark Alley in Gansbaai, 2 hours drive from Cape Town has become known as one of only two unique areas in the world, where the chances to view the Great White shark is exceptionally high however over the last 2 years the sightings in Gansbaai have become unpredictable and sporadic. When we are not seeing Great White sharks, we are seeing Copper sharks. These sharks are very interactive and as such, guests get good opportunities to cage dive and surface view these sharks. This area focuses on cage diving and it is unlikely to see the breaching behaviour here. Duration is 3 to 4 hours at sea based on sea conditions and shark activity.

Inclusions: Light refreshments onboard the boat, Breakfast, Professional guide, Diving equipment, Snacks

Exclusions: Food and drinks, unless specified, Gratuities, Hotel pickup and drop-off

If you simply want to cruise or see seals and dolphins, then go right ahead. If you want to see great whites this doesn't seem to be the spot, since within 20 minutes of boarding the Captain shared that the great whites seem to have gone elsewhere starting back in 2017. Needless to say we were quite disappointed and otherwise would not have spent the $1000 USD for 4 adults. Crew was nice and boat was high quality, but the experience simply was not as expected.

My friend Gill and I joined this Kgalagadi 10 day tour in November 2020. From the moment we were picked up from our homes to the moment we arrived home the holiday was memorable in every way. Augrabies Gorge was an unexpected surprise and the Kgalagadi park was better than I had ever imagined it would be . The reason fir the success of the tour was due to our tour guide ( Allen Rautenbach) and the best ‘ spotter ‘ of game and birds imaginable . Breakfast and lunch and supper every day were perfect. Would highly recommend this tour .
