Hue is clustered around the Perfume River, which splits the capital of the Nguyễn Dynasty in two. There are endless must-see historic sites, especially those that are UNESCO World Heritage designated. Sightseeing can include the ornate Imperial Citadel, colorful Thanh Toan Bridge, royal tombs and the Forbidden Purple City. Pilgrimage Village is a traditional Vietnamese boutique resort blending harmoniously in the local environment. Set amidst lush green gardens and lily ponds, Pilgrimage Village is a haven, where the pace of life slows down… looking for lost time? Immerse yourself in a myriad of experiences from the luxurious naturally inspired spa treatments to Tai Chi, yoga or perhaps some chakra cleansing. A sanctuary for the mind, body and spirit. Relax, rejuvenate and revitalize.
My adult daughter and I spent the past 24 hours at the Pilgrimage Village Resort, and our entire experience was absolutely wonderful. We arrived several hours before the designated check-in time but were warmly welcomed. While our room was being prepared, we had a delicious lunch and took advantage of the free massage (which we paid to extend to an hour). Our massages were incredible, and then were were encouraged to spend as much time as we wanted enjoying the sauna, steam bath, and hot and cold Jacuzzis. We were then guided to our room and found it to be very clean, spacious and comfortable. The grounds are also very clean and neat, and every member of the staff we encountered was extremely knowledgeable and very pleasant. This morning I used one of the resort's well-maintained bicycles to ride through the countryside while my daughter joined a yoga class. We were then amazed by the delicious and extensive breakfast buffet. While the resort is a short, inexpensive car ride from Hue, Grab cars and taxis are readily available. My daughter and I are both very glad that we chose to spend this time at the Pilgrimage Village Resort. We found the service and quality to be exceptional.

Huong Giang Hotel Resort & Spa The Huong Giang Hotel Resort & Spa is strategically located in the city centre of Hue, rightly on the poetic banks of the Perfume River. Visitted many hotels in Vietnam and this one, although looks really great from outside, was big dissapointment. The shelves in closet were so dusty that we did not use the closets at all. Great location but the dust, especially at the time of Covid-19, was unacceptable.

Kawara My An Onsen Resort is a world-class complex which designed for passionate travelers with luxury villas, onsen baths, spa and restaurants, recreation area and other facilities. Especially, the hot spring bath service is operated according to the high standards Kawara Management, one of well-known traditional Japanese Onsen.
Me and my partner came here sadly just for a single night, when we easily could have moved in. The Japanese architecture, style and courtesy were great. All of the staff were very friendly and made the whole experience all the more relaxing! Our receptionist Chau was very helpful and kind and made us feel welcome immediately! On the morning we left we decided to make use of the Onsen, which was really nice! Tăn (hope I got the accent right) was the man working in the Onsen, he was very kind and helpful. In these kinds of situations you want a little privacy but I felt, especially being the only one on the Onsen, it was nice to have a small chat. Honestly there isn't anything we could fault with the resort and we hope it gets busier soon because it deserves it! My only regret is not being able to eat in the restaurant because it looked amazing! Treat yourself if you're in Hue! Also, we didn't take many pictures as we were enjoying ourselves too much, which I suppose is a nice thing! So here was the rice paddy view from our room!

Hue Ecolodge brings together our 15 year experiences in Vietnam travel and hospitality service. We are also the first local service provider that is fully dedicated to and engaged in eco and responsible tourism in Hue. Situated in a verdant, centuries - old village, our lodge makes your ideal “home away from home”, and more. Hue Ecolodge was built with our ardent love for the land that is so fertile, tranquil and pretty like a soul soothing poem. Our boutique ecolodge offers 15 bungalows with 30 rooms in total, all built from natural materials: bamboo, wood, rattan and straw. Its baked brick walls, tile floors, wooden bathtubs and straw roofs blend effortlessly into untouched nature and authentic traditional culture setting of Thuy Bieu Village. Based on the concept of local “garden home” style, all our bungalows are complete with private gardens that are wonderfully preserved during our lodge construction. For those who are seeking to simultaneously relax in a pristine natural set
The rooms are amazing. Very spacious and decorated in a traditional Vietnamese style. There is a little garden with an outdoor shower which is a great feature. The pool is large and clean. Breakfast is nice but could have a little more selection if I am being very picky. Staff spoke English well and were courteous and wanted to make our stay pleasant. We did have to wait for about 45 minutes to get checked in due to a mis-communication between their reservation team and the receptionist staff but we were informed of what was going on. The grounds are special! Walking along the pathways through the greenery in silence is a lovely experience. Lots of shade from the heat and the restaurant area is well kept, orderly and clean. The reception area is open air with fans which provides a nice tropical atmosphere, but it can get hot if you're waiting for a while. Location is away from the city but only a short taxi or bike ride. The grounds are set right on the river and in a quiet, relaxing area.

Unfortunately this hotel was a bit of a disappointment in most areas. It’s a beautiful setting by the river but the location isn’t ideal, being at least 5km away from places of interest. This made ordering Grab taxis difficult as they’d never come out to collect us this far away from the centre of Hue. The room itself wasn’t as clean as we’d have liked and there was always a number of creepy crawlies in the room with us. (To be fair they did warn us about this) The hotel did have a beautiful swimming pool although this was unfortunately closed for two of the three days that we stayed here for. Lastly the cost for staying here is a little cheeky. We’ve been in Vietnam now for almost 4 months and in that time we’ve stayed at many different hotels. This has probably been the worst one, yet it was the one that cost us the most money per night. All of the others have been nicer hotels offering so much more. I’d like to end with some positives. Firstly we couldn’t fault the customer service, all of the staff have been super friendly to us. Also, the breakfast was very tasty here, giving us a good start for each day we stayed. Looking for a quiet peaceful time? Then this hotel will work fine for you. However, if you’re planning on doing some sight seeing and socialising, pick somewhere closer to the centre.

Thanh Tam Resort also owns 4 villas at Bach Ma National Park (mountainous areas 30 km) such as Bao An, Do Quyen, Phong Lan and Kim Giao with a total of 30 rooms are fully equipped, with a lot of interesting experiences.
The resort is good location with nice beach shores! But they have been making down all things. Such as staffs should be trainned to work well in hospitality. Breakfast need to be improved and find solution even in low-season. Because the price is still expensive with high expectation but the guests received nothing! Lastly, room with sea view but can not open window and old/inconvenient room! In general, will com back after renovation!
