The hotel was pretty hard to find without satnav, being outside the main town. Parking is on the street outside. The staff were welcoming, and they carried my bags up the stairs to the room without me asking for assistance. The room was basic but very spacious. Wi-fi connection could only be obtained in the lounge area. There is a restaurant/bar downstairs. They have a choice of breakfast dishes, shown on a picture menu if you don’t speak Spanish. It is a comfortable and safe option at relatively low cost if you are spending a day or two around Teror, which is a pleasant little town.

Casa Rural Dona Margarita is situated in the historic village of Teror, next to the Town Hall. Set in 18th-century building, it features well-equipped apartments, free Wi-Fi access and a terrace. The property offers traditional decor with beamed ceilings and exposed stone walls. The spacious apartments offer a living area with satellite TV and a DVD player. Kitchens have a microwave, fridge and a kettle. Staff at the Margarita’s tour desk can provide information on the surrounding area, as well as organise bicycle and car rental. Teror has a quiet, rural setting and is approximately 13 km from the coast. The Dona Margarita is a 30-minute drive from the centre of Las Palmas, whilst the island’s airport is 20 km away.
5 stars for the house, it is an old Canarian building, and 5 star for the location is fantastic, just a short stroll from all the local shops, cafes and restaurants. We hired a car fro the airport it takes around 35 minutes. We used the bus service one day to go into Las Palmas (it is a 5 - 10 min walk to the bus station from the Casa) We went off season in Feb, just check the restaurants are open as some were only open at the weekends. Loved this little oasis, was not overly touristic. The owner of the house was great and came to meet us as we arrived in the dark, parking is limited, but lots of spaces in the public car park once you have dropped off your suitcases. I would recommend this Rural Casa

The property consists of two houses that are rented and common areas where you can celebrate events as weddings, baptisms, communions ... (ask for pricse and availability) This house is the oldest of the two . It has 2 bedrooms with all amenities like fireplaces , free wifi and kitchen. We stayed for two nights in this beautiful house. We were in Apartment 2 that can easily sleep 4 people (6 if you use the sofabed). The master bedroom is huge with a large soft bed. Everything is very clean. The place is a well equipped with everything you need in the kitchen and big refridgerator. The garden is beautiful. Short walk in to town and to a grocery store. The host was very nice. Would come again!

The chilled house (these sort of finchas are usually cooler than the out-side temperature) was in a decent condition, and we had absolutely no troubles during our stay. We stayed 2 persons. The fincha looked and felt very aesthetical. We arrived late at night in a delayed flight, an arrived an hour later than planned, but the host greeted us, which we are very thankful for. The host did not speak spanish, but provided the information needed at arrival anyways. The view was perfect, and the sun shone on the terrace untill evening ( 6PM). I enjoyed the stay at the house, but be aware of the steep drive way, no internet acces, and the long distance of driving in the mountains (but a beautiful view) if you don't drive via the (one) motorway of Gran Canaria. Everything in the kitchen functioned (we cooked every evening), and we only used one of the possible electric heaters one evening. The television had Spanish and German channels. If you continue to upwards Calle Cuevas Morenas by foot, there is a beautiful hiking trip.
