I booked a suite for 4 persons with this hotel directly with the owners. Unfortunately, six days prior to the reservation date my daughter ended up in hospital after a serious motorbike accident. The owner however, deducted 100 euros from my account for this cancellation which l found slightly excessive giving the circumstances. Had l gone through a booking website l think l would not have been charged for the cancellation as l had given sufficient notice.

We stopped at this hotel for a one night stay on our way to Spain. Very basic rooms and showers. Rooms were in need of upgrade. Manager was lovely, very friendly. My daughters described the room as being worse than a prison cell. Wouldn't stay here again, was a cheap hotel. We got what we paid for.

Our home has 3 guest rooms, Evasion, The Lavandiere and The Cardabelle (per night between 105 and 125 €). Breakfast, swimming pool and relaxation area included in the room rate. Host table on reservation surcharge. We also have 2 cottage for 4 people (weekly or minimum 2 nights off season). The La Bergerie is ground Garden and Loft upstairs, above La Bergerie, with a sunny terrace of 30 sqm. 2 Bed are two vaults in stone, restored in the spirit of the Aveyron.
We spent two nights at the Les Clos de Lavandes with the hosts Patrícia and Pascal. They did an amazing remodeling work in a medieval house. It is like a very modern home with a very old shell. They were lovely from the time we got there: helped us with the luggage and stored all our wine, cheese and foie gras in their fridge. The room was enormous, completely remodeled and the view to the Chateaux astonishing. Breakfast was very good with a variety of bread, croissant, pain au chocolat, cake, yogurt, home made gelly (imagine one fruit and Patrícia will have a confiture she made), coffee, milk and juice. Patricia helped us with restaurant reservations, trips around the area and more. She was like our mother taking care of everything to make our stay incredible. And Pascal is a great chef: we had the best magret du canard! Two little things: the house is a stone medieval house so be prepared to be hot in the middle of the night* and there are no elevators, you have to go up one or two floors. *we learned from our hosts that these kind of houses accumulate the heat during the day and around three am when it is colder outside, the rocks "transpire" the heat to the inside of the house.

From the wonderful warm welcome we received to the lovely meals provided for us, this was a great stay. This beautiful old 16th century house is superbly decorated and furnished with really comfortable beds and excellent bed linen and towels. It is in a quiet little hamlet but only a short drive from the motorway. Would highly recommend!
