Rude person at the front desk from check-in onward. Wifi didn't work. Asked where breakfast was in the morning (which is listed on their website as included) and she said it isn't provided even after showing her the hotel's own website which says it is (not a 3rd party). Checked me into first someone else's dirty room - didn't even give an apology. A screaming person in the parking lot throwing things around from his car in addition to some random vagrant or homeless individual wondering the parking lot. Funny smell of an odd cleaning chemical or such in the room. Spent 10 minutes in room and immediately checked out and moved to a different nearby hotel. As other poster here writes and I agree "avoid at all costs."

Only minutes away from Oracle's headquarters, the Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, San Carlos, CA offers easy access to corporate offices in San Mateo, San Jose and San Francisco. Our hotel is situated in the heart of the San Francisco Bay area, just 11 miles from San Francisco International Airport (SFO) and 23 miles from San Jose International Airport (SJC). Turn onto El Camino Real and then U.S. 101 or head to the San Carlos Caltrain Station to visit attractions like the Golden Gate Bridge, Chinatown and the Moscone Event Center, all roughly 25 miles away. Families appreciate our proximity to the Stanford Shopping Center and CuriOdyssey, a hands-on science museum, while golfers love nearby Crystal Springs Golf Course.
The furnishings in the hotel are quite old and there is a strange smell. Two areas in the lobby are covered with large blankets, no idea what is under the blankets, but it looks very improvised. In the room there is a refrigerator which makes noise during the night. So you can't really relax. The morning buffet is really very minimalistic. Price/performance is not right at all. I left the hotel after 3nights and looked for another accommodation.

2 stars because staff is just awesome!!! Lost 3 stars because of: Terrible noise from Drag racing Friday and Saturday AM from midnight to 1AM. Freeway noise constant. No food nearby except a gas station 3 blocks away and 5 blocks away an in-n-out, but you have to cross a really dark and super busy street to get there. Lost another star because their breakfast is just... See the pictures taken 30 minutes before the end of breakfast time. Not much. Also, not really in Redwood City. Coffee is not good. They have no milk cartons. Just a jar during breakfast. Consider if you have kids. They charge for parking. I heard someone complaining they parked across the street and their car got towed. Just pay for parking. Not worth the tow fees otherwise. Pool by 5pm littered with either napkins or toilet paper. I mentioned this because on 2 separate stays I have gone to the pool and I have seen this.

Clean facility; friendly & efficient staff; very good breakfast. So why not a higher rating? At check we were told we had to pay a $7 daily parking fee, which caught us off guard since the online info said it was free parking. Staff explained the fee had just been "added today." Uh, letting guests know in advance is essential.

This is less than basic. I paid a lot of money to stay in what was a very poor quality place I'm sorry to say. Dark, dingy, TV intermittent, poor wifi, No tea or coffee facilities, no shampoo. Looks like something from 1970. Just don't do it is all I can say. If it were a bargain price $50 per night, I'd say suffer it for this reason. Any higher pass it by. Completely ripped me off. Places like this should have a price limit to what they charge online....

My wife had an operation at Sequoia Hospital the required an overnight stay. I chose Good Living Inn because it was close and inexpensive. It took about 5 minutes to get to the hospital, so excellent for that purpose. It is 2 minutes walk to a Trader Joe, and there are at least a dozen restaurants within 10 minutes walk, including several Mexican and a Japanese. The room was very clean and comfortable. Although it is on El Camino Real, the room was very quiet and the air conditioner worked well. The problems were minor but removed a star. The phone didn't work so couldn't call the office to get help for the problems, had to walk down to it. There was a new coffee maker but no coffee cups or mugs (just little plastic glasses that wouldn't work with a hot drink). The TV is fed by satellite but there was no directions to tell one how to use it. It took forever to figure out how to watch regular TV, e.g., KQED. The remote's battery ran down and I had to walk down to the office. To their credit, the young man came up to show me how to operate the TV.
