A budget hotel and similar to others in the Ibis chain -- all very clean and well maintained. What stood out for me was the staff: welcoming, friendly, helpful. They were a delight and a credit to Ibis. I needed to store my bicycle securely -- they couldn't have been more willing and helpful.

We stayed at this hotel at the start and finish of our holiday. We were very pleasantly surprised at the value, condition, and courtesy of the staff. It’s not a 5 star hotel by any means, however the service is definitely up there with the best. I cannot fault anything, and they even accept dogs !! Certainly better than anything in the UK !!!

We stopped overnight having crossed from Portsmouth to Cherbourg. Lovely reception, room clean and 'convenable', but although the location is right off the main road south and opposite a garage with cheaper French petrol than uk, it is a 5 minute drive / 25 minute walk into town for a pizza or restaurant and the hotel restaurant is closed at weekends. There is a Domino's in town which will deliver if you are willing to wait (especially if there is a football match on tv when everyone seems to order take away pizzas!) and sandwiches / crisps are available from the petrol station if you aren't. Good value for what you pay, I suppose, but we'll go somewhere else in future where we can get fed and watered quickly....

Located in the heart of La Manche region, Saint Lo is famous for its international stud farm and its horse shows. The hotel, which is located in the city centre, 200m from the train station and opposite the city walls, was completely renovated at the beginning of 2006 and features a bar and gourmet restaurant with terrace overlooking the city walls.
Don’t waste your money on their “classic rooms”, they are their rooms that haven’t been updated or cleaned for years. The toilet area smells like piss, the shower has mold and the bedroom NOT updated. Music blares from downstairs all night. But charge almost as much and aren’t willing to work with you when you bring these things up.

A reasonable hotel in a pretty quiet town; the hotel is situated right in the middle of town, with plenty of options of bars and restaurants within easy walking distance. The hotel itself was well staffed, with staff who were all too willing to help with my limited french, and made sure my glass was rarely empty when in the bar area. The bedrooms were larger than expected, with a great view of the old castle walls opposite on one side, and the train station on the other. The bed was two singles pushed together, but was plenty comfortable enough. Excellent WiFi meant that I could get on with some work, and easily video call the family back home. All in all a good stay.

We loved our stay in this quintessential French Bed & Breakfast nestled in the rolling farmland of Normandy. We had a beautiful room exceptionally comfortable bed, with large private bathroom, & fabulous huge bath which I enjoyed. The moonlight & early morning views from our room window, was a special for me. Living in the city it was the perfect place to stay. Shaun & Jane are welcoming hosts, a the local restaurant recommendation, full of locals not Tourist was a fabulous experience. The bowl of creamy garlicky frogs legs a culinary highlight. Highly recommended stay, great value and we will be returning.
