Our flight was canceled so we drove 14 hours for a wedding. Upon checking in we noticed a sign at the front desk that the water would be off to the entire hotel from 11am - 4pm both Saturday and Sunday. After attempts to find other accommodations we reluctantly decided to proceed as all other local hotels were booked for the weekend. We ended up filling up the bathtub just so we could use the trash can to fill the toilet tank in order to flush it. Soon after the water was off, there was an overwhelming smell of raw sewage throughout the hotel and even outside the front doors to the lobby. The construction manager (water was off for some renovations) appeared not to be doing anything other than hanging out with the front desk staff and a toddler who was behind the front desk. If he wasn't doing that he was sitting by the pool or out front smoking. Front desk manager stated there was nothing they could do and would not be issuing any refunds or discounts. As for cleanliness, the room itself seemed ok other than some dingy caulk in the shower. But, the sofa was run down and looked as if someone had laid on it with greasy boots. It really should just be disposed of. The air conditioner would not change speeds and sounded like a jet engine taking off. There was not any hot water in our room on Sunday morning. On the plus side, every housekeeper I ran into was extremely friendly. We couldn't take it any more so we gave up a day with family and drove back home.

I have stayed at this property several times in past years. This is one of only two "nice" hotels in town. The guest rooms have been handsomely-redone but overall I was disappointed in my particular experience at this hotel. Although the room looked good, it didn't smell very fresh; it was quite stuffy and didn't have that overall clean smell of a typical Hampton Inn. The mirrors were streaked, the comforter didn't smell clean, and the pillows were lumpy. The towels were discolored and slightly brown, they also appeared old and weren't quite up to Hampton standards. The front desk lady in the morning was very pleasant. The younger ladies at night weren't as professional. There was an old chair behind the front desk with the stuffing coming out of it. The housekeeping room/laundry room was standing open and was messy: it didn't make a good impression. Being that this property cost me around $185 including tax, during a week night, it didn't feel like a great value. I don't mind paying for a nice room, and Hampton Inns are my favorite brand, but this visit was disappointing due to the superficial housekeeping, the stuffy room, and the lumpy pillows. There were also no pillow covers. The bathroom ceiling had evidence of a leak, which might have accounted for the stuffy smell in the room. It's a small thing, but I didn't receive any of the Hilton Honors Gold perks at this property, such as the complimentary water, etc. This property just needs a little bit of attention in the housekeeping department, in my opinion. The exterior looks very nice now with the new paint job and the wood accents. As I said, I loved the room decor, it just wasn't very fresh.

We pulled in here on our trip around the coast, based on other reviews, and we were not disappointed. Yes, the building is old, but the couple who run this keep it in top top shape. The room was clean, spacious, comfortable, cable TV, feted WiFi, and had a comfortable bed. There was no chemical smell that one encounters sometimes. No smoking and no pets which was a plus to us. And did I mention the price? SO reasonable and I felt safer here than I do at some chain motels. I will definitely recommend this to my friends and family.

We offer free breakfast, smoking rooms, non smoking rooms, have variety of room types like the double beds, queen beds, king bed and 2 Queen beds also.,pet friendly at a charge, seasonal pool, free newspaper in the lobby.
We checked in, and the rooms were not cleaned from previous 'guests'. They moved us, and the 'new' rooms were just plain filthy. Unfortunately , the property was unlivable. I am reporting them to the health dept. The reviews all read the same. They should be shut down.

Thankful EconoLodge Perry was here when we needed it! This motel is a classic two star, clean sheets, plenty of hot water and coffee, amenities are very basic and the front desk is friendly. We were stranded on I-75 after Priceline mistakenly booked us hundreds of miles from last night's intended stay in Valdosta. Hunting for a room in North Florida on a busy Saturday was impossible, hotels around Ocala had jacked room rates as high as $700 for two star properties with horrid reviews. A bit out of our way was EconoLodge of Perry. They had a room, the rate was normal and check-in was simple. This motel's performance was so thankfully appreciated. AC worked great, ample hot water, good TV / internet, all surrounded in the very basic amenities of a property which dutifully met our needs. Our vehicle was safe, coffee pot in the room, trouble free. Props to the housekeeper, Cheryl, a terrific lady who is happy to converse with guests and is super nice. Yep, it's basic. The ridiculous reviews for this property are undeserved and rude. They know the property needs work, but when you need a room "now", EconoLodge of Perry does exactly what it's supposed to do - a serviceable, clean room so you can safely rest and be on your way. Thank you, EconoLodge of Perry, for being here when we needed you.

When i pulled up i spoke with Martha super nice and she helped me chose whats best for me. They offer daily , weekly, monthly and even bi-weekly. The only spot that offers these deals. So i stayed bi-wkly since i wasn't sure how long i would stay for work. I am very picky on where i stay so she said i can see the room if i like before renting. Room: Very Clean (#1 thing when i stay in a hotel) A/C worked great (Which is a must for me) they had flat screen tvs brand new towel Full size beds table with 2 chairs night stands and dresser out side: My own parking , soda machine and washer and dryer available Best place to stay in Perry FL
