Reviewed By najmasanaiWe spent an eventful day in Mandaal, squashed between 2 FRH night stays. The resort caught my eye as it was around an area where we'd stayed in earlier, far from the madding crowd. Its a smallish resort, very informal, peaceful (even though its squashed between 4-5 larger commercial properties), and run by a very enthusistic husband wife team. Rohit & Prachi along with their staff made our stay extremely comfortable & relaxing. The rooms are large & welcoming, toilets are luxurious, food is wholesome & tasty & the service is absolutely top class. Our short stay included a morning jungle trek which was exhilirating, and the highlight being a (mad) dash into the forest around dinner time after we heard alarm calls coming from the waterhole. 8 of us slowly made our way towards the direction of the sounds with only torchlights for company, only to make a quiet retreat after hearing a growl. Would definitely recommend to anyone who's looking for a "jungle" retreat, and not a "partying" weekend in Corbett.
