On the webb page they claim to be a boutique hôtel and for a double room price of 2890kr/night ( more expensive than Strandflickorna in Lysekil and Smögen Havsbad) it is a ripoff. This is a hostel. The view is magnificent but the rooms has a poor standard. Old beds, bathroom not clean and lowbudget renovated. Lamp by bed didn’t work. No reception, no nice interior, the breakfast you have to do yourself from the fridge and it was also low budget and such a disappointment. Very simple, boring bread, no musli only oat and corn flakes. With the location and view this could be a nice place, but we felt completely scammed by the price and false description on the webb. There is no spa, it is in a saloon downtown.

Welcome to Stora Hotellet in Fjällbacka!- A unique hotel in a historic settingFjällbacka is at its most beautiful when seen from the sea. Clustered together under the mighty Vetteberget peak are the rows of Fjällbacka's charming wooden cottages, right next to the sea and the sheltered harbour, which is still the heart of the community. World famous actress Ingrid Bergman used to stay here during the summer, seeking its tranquillity and beauty. Even Camilla Läckberg's popular novels take place here.Fjällbacka is home to Stora Hotellet, and its 23 rooms. At the heart of Sweden’s west coast archipelago, at the heart of the world! Much of the nautical character in the design of the hotel has been drawn from the ocean and the fantastic archipelago. You will find peace and tranquillity in perfect unison with exciting activities. Stora Hotellet in Fjällbacka was built in 1834 and has since been improved through a range of developments into the exciting and vibrant part of Fjällbacka that it is today.
This hotel and restaurant has the optimal location in Fjällbacka but several menials things destroyed the experience of our stay. Firstly the first impression we were met with was the most awful stench entering the building to the rooms. It's a very unclean and old stench which should be dealt with if people are to enjoy their time here. The second was the appalling attitude and service of one woman every morning at breakfast. The breakfast was rather simple and luckily we found out from others about the option to have a cooked breakfast but every time I wanted to order this the woman in question - older & blond, ran away or ignored us. We were made to feel like fools each morning 4 in total. Her attitude was unbearable. So a beautiful location totally destroyed for me.

Welcoming guest house and youth hostel in the centre of Fjallbacka. Within walking distance(200meters) of the harbour, shops cafes and restaurants. Large kitchen for selfcatering. Furnished garden. Free WiFi. 5 Meters from the bus stop. Car parking.
Given the fact that Sweden is generally extremely expensive (at least for Southern Europeans), Fjallbacka is no exception. However, this is a good place to stay if you want to save a little money. Last May we paid half price with respect to Store Hotellet Bryggan, fair enough since this is a sort of hostel with private rooms. No breakfast is offered but there's a kitchen (i think they have coffee for a few crowns). We personally went to Store Hotellet and paid 12 euros for an amazing breakfast. This is a good solution if you don't wanna pay the full price of a hotel but need to have breakfast somewhere. Indeed, if you happen to be in Fjallbacka during the week (except summertime) most places are closed down (including cafes), expect the restaurant on the pier.

A quiet and charming old hotel located close to the harbour in Fjällbacka. We had a nice room with a balcony and a view of the harbour. A perfect place to have a drink before dinner. The hotel was very clean and tidy, and the staff were very nice and helpful. In the evening we had a very good dinner in the hotel’s restaurant Mamsell. They have an extensive wine list, and we got a good recommendation from our waiter.

Weather Islands-Väderöarna On a desert island in an arqipelago of 365 small islets on the North West Coast of Sweden, you will find us, Väderöarnas Värdshus. Pilots and their familys have lived here for many hundred years, helping lost ships find their way, by keeping watch from the Pilots look out on the highest point on the biggest island Storö. In the old houses we have 16 rooms, 7 ensuite, mostly double rooms but also some family rooms. Our restaurant serves local, sometimes self catched sea food and a lot of other delicious courses made by our fantastic Chefs! You can relax in the granite sauna and our salt water hot tubs just by the sea, so take a dip, the Scandinavian way! The beatiful, rocky walking path is a must! There is no natural water on the island, so we desalinate our daily use of water from the sea, we have our own power plant and solar cells for energy, we work active with sustainability! We get you safely from the mainland to the island,45min,in our big Catamarans.
The accommodation is simple and you might have to share bathroom. Hot summer days can be problematic in some rooms. The personell is very helpful and serviceminded. You feel relaxed after a hot tube and sauna. The food is plentiful but not gourmé food as can be expected (not the reason for coming here!). I will recommend a maximum of 2 days stay.

The location is great but it is absolutely not worth the money - the rooms are shabby, beds uncomfortable, women’s showers have no curtains to the clubicles and the windows are not opaque which means you can be seen from the outside. The kitchen is tiny so only room for one person at a time to prepare food (not good when all 4 rooms are occupied!). Some of the staff are unhelpful to say the least. There are yoga and exercise classes right outside the bedroom doors starting early so no possibility of a lie in. Oh, and when they say that there is access to washing machine forget it - these can only be pre-booked for use between 10am and 3pm (the times that as a tourist you want to be out and about) and are always fully booked anyway.
