In all fairness I have stayed at this motel about 4 times. They have 2 buildings, the front and the back. I had stayed 3 times in the front building without any issues. On Aug 20 2020 I was put in the back building. I had gotten into the room took a shower and when I got out of the shower and sat down at the desk chair I saw a cockroach. I called the front desk and his question to me was how many were there. I said where there is 1 there are 100’s more. I was given a full refund and I left and checked into a different hotel.

Saravilla, circa 1894, is a 7-room bed and breakfast in the college town of Alma, Michigan. Built as a wedding gift, the 11,000 sf Dutch Colonial mansion affords guests large rooms, all with private baths, and grand public spaces that include a ballroom, library, billiard room, sunroom, and wraparound porch. A full English/American breakfast is included in all room rates. Upscale amenities in some guestrooms include working fireplaces and spa bathrooms; all accommodations are in large rooms with seating areas. Alma College, the Masonic Home, Mid Michigan Health Center, and the town's picturesque business street are within walking distance.
Saravilla never disappoints, having stayed many times. The accommodations are comfortable and gourmet breakfast tops off any stay. The innkeepers provide a very personalized experience. This lovely historic mansion provides a picture of the past!

My husband and I had to make a emergency run out of town do to the fact that my dad was being taken to reed city hospital for possible pneumonia. My dad was with our neighbor when he was complaing of shortness of breath..so my neighbor called me and I had made the decision to drive 4 hours to reed city Michigan from Ypsilanti Michigan. Dad was released back to our neighbor and my husband and I went back home.my husband was extremely tired and knew that he would not make it back to ypsilanti so we decided to stop for the night at comfortable inn. The charge for a one bedroom was 75 dollars. They wanted to charge us 20 dollars for our dog who only weighs 15 lbs if that. The room was extremely cold when we got in there I had to keep my jacket on till the heat started working they need to have better pillows they were to flat the bed was very uncomfortable you could see the markings where there was an additional night stand which was not there. I was very dissatisfied with my stay there and the so called breakfast that you offer was not that great either.i got a small cup of oj and a muffin. I will gaurentee we will not be returning to this hotel. Very poor customer service Jennifer,Wayne
