This was our first time with the Africa safari camp and lodges at Mtu wa Mbu. We were pleasantly surprised. The property is in perfect state even though it must have suffered from the flooding of lake Manyara a year ago and the drop in tourism because of the covid 19. This is a well kept, clean and quite a beautiful property right on the shore of lake manyara. Resident animals like the zebras, wildebeest, hippos visit every evening. At night you could hear the hyenas too. The food is delicious and plenty. The service is excellent with very kind and attentive staff. Will definitely come back again and book your other properties especially in Lake Natron. Thank-you for enjoyable stay and goodluck!

We had a great stay at this camp, nice views of the lake, wifi, solar electricity so we had a plug in our tent. Very clean and comfortable, hot showers, nice grounds and seating areas, the staff is really nice, we were very happy to return back to this camp at the end of our safari.

A nice and comfortable place for a good night between 2 Safaris. The bed is comfortable with a mosquito net. Nice little bathroom with hot water. Very clean place! Thank you, Franck, you are an excellent cook. Asante sana

The setting is described as ‘set in an acacia forest’; this is absolutely not the case, and one hears the nearby ever growing town & its disco from ones tent. The staff are really helpful & one feels sorry for them not having a budget to keep the camp up to a better standard. The food was rather poor (a more experienced cook needed) & dishes just not tasty. However making up our own picnic lunch was a success. The beds are beautifully decorated with good linen & pillows, but this is a most basic camp needing a helping hand.
