ERIK hotel Guest House is the first member of American Hotel & Lodging Association in Turkmenistan. It is a great place to stay in Dashoguz where you can enjoy your stay in wonderful atmosphere and with high standard conditions. We are more than glad to welcome you and make your stay enjoyable!
The hotel is cosy, it's designed with much love to details. There are collections of old radios, village carts, archive photos, and much more. Its owners is a nice and friendly Uzbek family. The rooms are spacious and clean. Hot water, wifi, breakfast are available. I highly recommend this hotel.

location is defenitely the best. as i am local i can say that THERE IS NO BETTER PLACE TO STAY just because of the location. Today the most popular shopping mall in Ashgabat is BERKARAR just accross the road (about 50meters). the price was about 10$ bust because i am the local citizen for foreigners its about 100 usd -interiour is made of best and high quality materials. -tv channels are multinational -wifi works great disadvantage is that the reception couldnt call a taxi about 30 minutes i had to wait at the reception. i think at a such modern hotel must be own taxi cab or a shuttle bus the pool needs to be paid an extra. may be for foreigners its free i am not sure.

The hotel is on the edge of town, so not very convenient. But compared to other hotels that I have experienced in Turkmenistan, this was probably the best value. Clean, good bathroom and helpful staff, even if no english was spoken.

Hotel Aziya is outside central Ashgabat in the “hotel district” in Karatamak along the Archabil Sayoli road. The hotel is 8 kilometres from the main railway station. The bus 34 will take you straight from the railway station to the hotel in about 25 minutes. Hotel Aziya looks like a big hotel but it only consists of eight rooms. The rooms are very big thou! We were a group so we occupied most of the hotel during our stay. Positives: Good (but nosy) air conditioning. This is necessary in the summer since the temperature in Ashgabat is between 40-50 degrees Celsius in the summer. Spacious room and bathroom. Room had one (dirty) fridge and a flat screen if you want to see the Turkmen state propaganda TV. Negatives: All rooms smelled from smoke and old fabric. Room was not very clean, no bed lights. Staff was not particularly friendly and spoke no English at all. No Wi-Fi, uninspiring breakfast, the balcony could not be used. They turn of the water during the night for some odd reason, which meant that we could not use the bathroom the early morning when we left for the airport. Ashgabat is very expensive (for foreigners) and this hotel has a more “normal” price. This is the only reason to stay in this rat hole.

No Wi-Fi. Poor breakfast. Free parking place and english speaking staff, but that's all. Everything else is lower like average. Room was big but not fully clean. Sustainable only for one night. Hotel is overpriced.

No electricity. Toilets down. Dirty. The four of us are frequent travelers and backpackers and we were so happy to leave again. No breakfast, no towels and way to expensive. No recommendation at all. You get in and it was just dark in the entrance hall. A lady without any word of English behind a counter copies your passports and gives you the key to what they called rooms. Doesnt fit in this picky and clean city Asgahabat. Horrible stay.

The hotel is situated in city center and close to newly opened shopping mall. I stay there often, when travelling to that area on business. The hotel is beautiful, when you first walk in, but perhaps needs a little renovation from inside. No wi-fi. A/C in my room would not work. Was telling about this problem to reception during all three days of my last stay, but was simply ignored with promises that someone will come and have a look. Rooms are not very clean, you may often find hair and some spots on your bedsheet. On some reason unknown, the shower gel and shampoo are never full and never replaced. Breakfast is always a fried egg with couple of slices of sausage, cucumber and tomato. Once on Sunday when I went down to restaurant to have breakfast, it was simply closed, so was left without breakfast that morning.
