The interior is really "Ardens". Crooked floor, wooden beams and bar and in the middle of the Woods next to the well. Only had a drink but I would definetely go back as the setting is splendid ! The staff is friendly and amusing. We only had a drink there - so no overnight for us.

Two double bedrooms in a cosy bed and breakfast house dated from the 30s located in a quiet forest just 5 min drive from the city of Spa in the Belgian Ardennes. Activities around include, among others: walking paths in the forest, golfing in a top class course, world famous thermal baths, car races on the formula 1 circuit, gambling in the oldest casino of Europa. Possibility of dinner upon request.
The BnB is in a great location just outside of the busy town and within walking distance to some great restaurants. Local hikes are available form the doorstep! The owner Claudine is SO helpful with making restaurant reservations and also for local ideas with things to do. The room (deluxe double room) was clean and with good amenities (coffee machine, TV, etc.).

3 nachten Spa, hier twee keer gegeten.

We arrived at the property a little confused as to how to get in as it is part of a number of buildings and there were quite a few doors. I decided to call the owner who answered immediately and Christine came out to greet us. Christine was the perfect host, she showed us to our room up some very winding concrete steps to the top of the tower. The views were amazing! The room was perfect, only negative thing and just a suggestion, it would be good to have a wardrobe and some drawers as we had to leave our clothes in the suitcase as nowhere to hang clothes except for a coat hanger. There was also only one mirror which was in the bathroom and although I am quite tall I had to stand on tip toes to see properly so a further mirror for the ladies in the bedroom would be great. Shower was perfect! Christine asked us what time we would like breakfast and it was placed outside our room every morning. We had a lovely continental breakfast with meats, cheeses, breads and croissants every day and lovely little bottles of freshly squeezed orange juice. The location of the property was ideal for the Spa circuit, literally less than a 10 minute drive down the road. Spa the town was less then 10 minutes in the car the other direction, which is a delightful little town with many bars and restaurants and a wonderful church that we sat in listening to a lovely lady play the organ for half an hour. There are also some shops and a wonderful shop that makes and sells Belgian Chocolates which we bought many home. We did ask Christine where the best places to eat were and she gave us some names of some restaurants she even gave us a lift into town so we only had to get a taxi back which cost 8 Euro. There are also a couple of restaurants close to the property within walking distance. I would definitely recommend Un Air de Chateau as the room was spotless, very quiet and relaxing and close to everything we needed. Christine was a perfect host and nothing was too much trouble. Thank you for a wonderful stay, we would definitely stay again if we were in the area.

Large charming suite (65 m2) for 2 to 4 people, in a 19° century manor. In the countryside, 900 m. from the centre of Spa. Equipped kitchen, south facing terrace. Private parking. Definitely another world. Personalized welcome.
What a wonderful place to getaway and soak in the local history and beauty just a short walk from downtown. Wake to lovely sunshine and birdsong in a super comfortable bed. Great hostess as well who encouraged us to enjoy all aspects of the property. Very helpful suggestions for fine dining and wine!!
