Traces of Preston’s industrial past can be seen in its historic Docklands district and steam train railways, while the city center mixes the old and new, with glass-fronted shopping malls flanked by elegant Georgian townhouses.

We just had dinner here with friends on Saturday night, it’s recently had a make over, so thought we’d try it again, and all we can say is the food was absolutely delicious!! Well done chef…Starters were all great, then we shared a seafood paella and the men shared the tomahawk steak, and it was all fantastic!! A huge shout out to the Spanish waitress who served us too, she was so friendly and attentive, in fact all the staff were brilliant!! They had local singer in Paul Dobie who was brilliant entertainment while dining. We love the renovations they’ve done, it looks brilliant! We will definitely be returning very soon!!

Luxury 5 star Silver accolade B&B near Preston. Picturesque riverside location in historic Ribchester. Winner of Lancashire B&B of the Year competition 2007/08.
The accommodation is very nice and the riverside location is very picturesque - only drawback was the smell from the farm/cattle feed plant next door. The town itself is small but nice - check out the food in the White Bull too.

We stayed here once before when it was a Premier Inn, you can tell it was one by the rooms, they’ve just changed the purple curtains & bed runner to grey. Rooms need a bit of love but for the price you can’t expect much more - it was a third cheaper than the Premier Inn we usually stay at in Blackpool. Reception staff were friendly & a box of masks at the door incase you don’t have one. Didn’t visit the pub next door as wasn’t too impressed last time so found one a bit further down the road. Highly recommend staying here if you want a clean room with a comfy bed but not worried about much else. We will definitely be back in the future

6Adelphi is a brand new apart-hotel with fantastic facilities, in a great location and close to all major transport links. The property boasts a combination of double & twin spacious en suite rooms, with, smart TVs and super premium beds for a great night’s sleep. There is also access to full kitchen facilities.
I will keep this very brief. The pictures of this place are accurate however this venue is like a nicely decorated cake with a hard horrible sponge. The venue is situated in an area where it is unnerving to walk around of an evening as it is full of drunk students and undesirable non students. The "HOTEL" is actually a poorly constructed HMO with paper thin walls populated by nocturnal people who do not sleep and seem to assume no one else sleeps either. Numerous times I had someone trying to open my door (I assume mistakenly due to impaired judgement). The 10pm quiet time rule is not enforced and if anything it's the louder time period as 10pm is party time..... apparantly. The room itself is fine however you will not be able to relax due to the vulnerability you will feel inside. The communal kitchen is not clean. Spend a little more and you won't feel like your on some sort of urban camping survival experience. Do not recommend.

Unlike regular hotel brands where all of the rooms are under one roof, F.G. Hotels offer a number of stylish rooms and apartments spread throughout Preston City Centre; located just a stones throw away from all major public transport links, shopping areas, parks, the University, and Preston Guild Hall! We pride ourselves in providing excellent comfort and luxury, and great value for money!
The start was not good. No numbers on door so walked past it several times which, after a 6 hour train journey to get there, was irritating. After a phonecall, pamela came to greet us and showed us to the room. She was friendly and made sure we were settled. All seemed OK until we tried to sleep that evening. The noise outside was unbearable from party goers, making it impossible to sleep. This, together with a drain cover which made a noise every time a car drove over it (which was often) resulted in us having no sleep at all. We had to be up and out by 6am so filled ourselves full of coffee and tea in the hope this would wake us up. Disappointingly, despite pamela saying our room would be serviced, we returned at 11 pm to find the bed unmade, towels unchanged and the coffee and tea replenished. Our second night was just as bad as the first regarding noise levels outside s to cannot wait to return home to sleep. There were two robes for our use in the room but they smelt as if they had already been worn. All in all a disappointing start and we would not return. I know the noise levees are outside their control, but had there been a mention of this on booking.com we probably would not have booked.
