Surprising, very fine balance of keeping this traditional chalet with a modern touch where the moment you enter, you feel welcome and cozy where every detail is thought through. Simple yet intimate ambiance of the hotel, spot on decoration enhancing the hotel' place in its surroundings. Also, I can not miss to mention the kindness of everyone working there that we've experienced during our short stay. Thank you to all!

The positives to write about this family owned , old world hotel is that the rooms are spacious (2 rating for them) and it is very close to the Bus stop. Now what you should also know are the following: 1. There is no staff in the hotel most parts of the day and during the night. It is really scary to be in a hotel when you know that you are the only occupants :)). We stayed, because it was in Switzerland. Even though the booking sites show that all rooms are gone, which we found out was completely false and I will term it a scam. There was no one for key handover, even though we reached after 4pm. The owner sound very surprised on our arrival and guided us through a self help drill to open the hotel. 2. The breakfast is a big let down, nothing to write about. 3. Restaurant is a word, just as a part of the name. There was no such thing on the premises. Might have been there many years ago, given the large eating area. 4. It is around 2kms form the Bulle station and centre. Hardly good eating options around, except for a small quiet neighbourhood, but the road outside is very busy (given that it is a small town)...so be careful if with children. 5. Difficult to enter with a stroller and no lift. 6. Very expensive, even by Swiss rates and given the offerings.

We visited the chocolate factory Cailler in Broc and booked the hotel close by since the restaurant and bistro apparently is very god. The welcome was ok but the lady did not believe me I had a reservation in the bistro for the evening. I had to show her MY name on HER list... Only one person spoke English... The room was very nice, with a narrow ceiling. It was very cold in the room and it turned out that the heating was not working. We were told 3 times, we should only wait for another while... until it was too late to find another place… We went for dinner and although I had announced our allergies they were not communicated. We got our starters quite soon and they were very tasty. We left the table to find out about the temperature in the hotel room and found out, that while we were at dinner, someone has gone into our room to heat it with a hairdryer that was left on the table… 35 Minutes after we had finished our starters, the empty plates were still not taken away from the table. The main course again was very good but it took just too long for everything. Finally we went to our cold room, tried to sleep and leave early. Breakfast was of good quality but poor selection. Just bread, butter, a bit of cheese and meet and yoghurts. No eggs but fruit (which I do not eat for breakfast). Sorry, we will not come back…

This was for over 20 years a lovely restaurant in a fantastic location that served terrific food, particularly well known for its charbonnade of beef. This is no longer on offer. Ordering strawberries with cream and ice cream and meringue, each item was served as if a separate dish and charged accordingly! New management one assumes.

We ate pizzas at the restaurant of the hotel. We have never seen such small pizzas for a unit price of 16 chf. We complained about the size and the hotel keeper smiled and asked, if we were hungry.

We enjoyed a lot staying in the farm for 4 days. The room was clean and cosy, the breakfast abundant and high quality and the host very nice. She had some kind attentions to entertain our 2 year old child.
