2 Hot tubs. One outside the main building, the other by the Guest house. Great view over volcano Hekla and Eyjafjallajokull. Only 1 hour's drive from the capital, Reykjavik. Free Wi Fi. Free parking. Great location in South Iceland. Horse rental open all year.
We had a wonderful stay at Hesheimar. The cabins look very cozy and cute. We arrived in clean cabins. The showers were also nice and the kitchen had sufficient kitchenware. One of the beds in the houses is quite hard, but all of us had a good night sleep and woke up with a nice view over the fields with horses. We would like to thank the lovely staff for making us feel so welcome!

Really comfortable and clean room, and nice breakfast! And the receptionist was exceptionally kind and helpful! Would stay here again if we would happen to have a need to stay in Hella again :) Cheers!

We booked to stay at the riverside guest house for a one night stop over. We arrived at the accommodation after a long drive only to faced with a confusing self check in service, which was so vague and poorly instructed. We tried the code in the door and had no luck, as the door itself hadn’t been unlocked! I then rang the number provided several times with no answer and even emailed and am yet to receive a response! The place robbed us of our money and in the end had to sort out last minute accommodation elsewhere ! We stayed at Stracta Hotel, which was lovely and I would highly recommend! They offered us a free upgrade and breakfast included. I would avoid this place at all costs. It may be cheaper but they’ve just done us over! Not worth the hassle and added unnecessary stress to our trip! The place itself looks run down and smells musty. All in all, I’d rate this place 0/10. I would appreciate any advice on how to go about receiving a full refund. And also if anyone else has had a similar issue!

Hotel Laekur is a small and cosy country hotel in a beautiful location in south Iceland. The hotel was built in the year 2012. The hotel is a renovated old barn, but with all the comforts of a modern hotel.
Great family run hotel right near Hella. Minutes to the Kelder turf houses. Our room looked out to the volcano. Dinner was great there. We then took a walk to see the sheep & horses on their farm. We loved our stay!! Breakfast was delicious too.

Lovely owners, beautiful scenery we were able to see the northern lights on a clear night, little house is super cute!!! Perfect for my husband and our 4 year old daughter, super clean. Came with a full kitchen, clean bathroom. Really clean, comfortable, cozy. I would have stayed here for more nights if I had more time. Highly recommend staying here, don’t hesitate with booking. Trust the reviews. I would book here again when I visit Iceland in the future.

Unfortunately we only stayed one night, but this was definitely a very pleasant surprise. Very nice, comfortable and homey rooms. Good sleep quality, nice hot tub, and a very good restaurant. Nice view of Hekla. .....and very fiendly owner. Plus... fairly priced. Wood definitely recommend this place on an iceland trip
