The Bastion..Breathtaking view of 5 rivers heading into the Cambridge gulf.lived in Kununurra now 6 months after gettibg stuck.. its beautiful during the wet and dry..in the dry, you canvdrive across the floodplains toHome Valley Station, Diggers Station and eventually, el Questro Station. All worth a few days visit! If your hear during the dry-tourist season, you can head back to Kununurra via Parrys Lagoons; visiting Marlgu Billabong, Button Hole, Black wall falls, Valentine Springs and cross the Ivanhoe crossing back to Kununurra. Beautiful wildlife and no traffic..worth a day in itself. Plenty of safe swimming holes..waterfalls only..unless you sit on the road at Ivanhoe. Back to Kununurra via the highway, visit the grotto and walk down 446 steps to a 300ft deep waterfall and swimming hole, or stop at Molly Springs.. Theres sooo much to take in, in the East Kimberleys!

A birders paradise with lovely boardwalks and shaded bird hideaway area allows you to watch the many variety of water birds. We were there at dusk and early morning and saw many birds - a very special place.

This place is amazing great for a swim on the way back to Kununurra after a day exploring at Wyndham. Family of 4 with a 2 & 4 yr old, definitely needed to carry the kids as very steep steeps with no railings but well worth the effort!
