There's no treasure but it is an enjoyable way to spend an hour or two exploring the narrow roads and taking in the amazing views. It's a 1¼ mile route starting near the main car park at the top of the steep decline down to the old town. On the way see if you can name the cottages with their colourful plaques, there are things to collect and questions to answer about things on the route. Points are awarded depending on how difficult the question is.It's free to download from the CluesGo website. The route also passes the beach where you can stop for a rest or a paddle.

Down on Staithes Beach ???? today. Great little beach well protected by the harbour wall. So good for the kids to play in the sea ????.Benches at the top to sit and people watch or just relax and read a book. Plenty of room to distance your self. So what are you waiting for get down here and enjoy.

This stunning gallery contains the best work of some seriously good painters and is also one of the hubs driving forward the cultural life of Staithes. Ali will talk enthusiastically about her artists you can choose to own something you live in the ten month Own Art scheme. Then go to Dotties for scones!

Traditional sweetshop with takeaway coffee, combined with a Deli selling delicious treats from across the UK and the rest of the World.
Such an amazing selection of sweets and chocolates, you will be spoilt for choice and spend more than you had bargained for, the temptation is just too much!! Lovely young man behind the counter described sweets that we were unsure of. Only one group of people allowed in the shop at a time means social distancing is stuck to and you get to browse without someone blocking your view.

During our recent visit to Staithes we visited Cobbles and bought a selection of fudge which was delicious, they also had a good selection of natural dog treats. We ordered their takeaway pizza and dough balls one evening, ordering was done by Facebook messenger, was easy and well organised. Paid at the hatch on collection by contactless, covid secure!
