Second time to tour, as much fun as the first time. We had family in town and decided to take them up to Pilot Point for the distillery tour. Fun and informative tour with Vinnie. Hospitality room a fun stop after the tour. Lots of tables outside to enjoy a drink at on a beautiful Texas afternoon.

My friend and I went on a trail ride with Monica today and it was the best time. We both have stressful jobs and it was so relaxing riding the trails around Lake Ray Roberts. She picked the perfect horse for our ability and gave us some riding tips on the trail. Monica is friendly and put us at ease during our ride. We will definitely go back.

Scenic park great for camping, hiking, swimming and fishing.
Stopped here for 4 days at Isle de Bois. Nice paved walking and bike riding trails. Campsites are very generously spaced apart. Really enjoyed the peacefulness of this park - lots of trees and birding was pretty good too. Only drawback was there is no full hookups but the dump station was easy access.

A fun experience, well-worth the modest entry fees! They have a nice collection of animals in humane habitats and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Lots of fun things to pet and feed as well: camels, goats, sheep, alpaca, mini horses, and cows. They fill the day with animal encounters and talks that are informative and intimate. I was a little apprehensive about the two bears and two lionesses, but they are rescues, in decent habitats, and well cared-for.

We went on Saturday! Lots of traffic and sit in the car waiting for about 15 minutes when we arrived there around 10: 30 am. The weather is perfect. Tulips are beautiful. It was so crowded and hard to take pictures without people in the background. Tips: bring cash, arrive early, and go visit early in the season during week days!
