Newport is a city in and the county seat of Jackson County, Arkansas, United States, located on the White River 84 miles (135 km) northeast of Little Rock. The population was 7,879 at the 2010 census.

The Rock and Roll Highway 67 Museum is dedicated to the stars and the clubs that frequented the route from Sun Records in Memphis through northeast Arkansas. Newport and Jackson County were the heart of the route. See memorabilia from stars like Sonny Burgess and the Pacers, Elvis and Conway Twitty including the piano from Porky's Roof Top Club that was there when Elvis played the venue.

The Blue Bridge Center for the Delta Arts is a art gallery contained in the Newport Business Resource Center. Art classes are offered through a partnership with Unity Health Harris Medical Center. Art sold at the gallery benefits the annual Delta Art Festival. Over 100 pieces of art on display for sale.

The Jackson County Veterans Memorial honors the brave men and women who have served this country. Individual brick pavers contain the names of veterans who have served, including a brick paver honoring every personal who died while in service from Jackson County, Arkansas. The space includes a "green" fountain that operates from a historic downtown well.

Remmel Park is a 27 acre private park in Newport, Arkansas. The park features a secluded half-mile circular street system for jogging or walking, a running track, an open area for football, softball or soccer, tennis courts and a tree covered area with picnic tables. The historic American Legion Hut is in Remmel Park.
